Upgrade Sony Ericsson K750 to W800i

Why on earth would anybody want to change their Sony Ericsson K750 ROM to a Sony Ericsson W800i beats me on the head ? Isn’t it better to just get the Sony Ericsson W800i ? I’ll leave this to wannabe hackers and their tinkering… Take note. This could void your warranty.

A China website shows that we can flash the K750 ROM to upgrade it to a Sony Ericsson W800 one. Will it hang or give problems ? Beats me. I can’t read Chinese to save my life. You might also want to check the pics that I took of the launch for the Sony Ericsson W800i over in Midvalley Megamall (Kuala Lumpur) some time ago.
Seems that the upgrade will do some good as per below.
- more stable, faster response
- better sound quality
- can open music feature and act as walkman
- better GUI
(I think the menu system and features in the Sony w800 are all exactly the same as the K750i. Idealgadget.com did not get this correct)
- music player can sort songs by author, tracks, etc. Remember playback position even after turn off the phone.
