Big Brown has chased away almost all of his Derby victims, with the lone exception Recapturetheglory, who is still on the fence regarding his Preakness participation.

El Gato Malo, once considered a Preakness starter, will instead shoot for the Grade 3 Lone Star Derby on May 10th.

Arkansas Derby show finisher Tres Borrachos continues to gallop at Churchill Downs and is scheduled to work Wednesday (5-7-08) morning.

Blue Grass show finisher Kentucky Bear will arrive at Pimlico on May 7th.

Behindatthebar, the Lexington winner, is currently at Belmont Park, and regular pilot David Flores will be aboard in Baltimore. Stablemate and Withers winner Harlem Rocker will drill on or about May 10th, and Pletcher and company will decide on his Preakness possibilities based on that work.

Nick Zito is a Preakness fixture and will be represented by Stevil, who drilled four furlongs in :48.60 at Churchill earlier this week. He is expected to work again next week before departing for Maryland.

Giant Moon, 4th in the Wood Memorial, is expected to work five panels at Big Sandy on May 7th. Dominguez booted him home to a pair of stakes wins and knows Pimlico well.

Yankee Bravo will work this week and leave California for Baltimore on May 14th.

Lexington show finisher Riley Tucker, trained by Bill Mott, will get the services of former Maryland legend Edgar Prado if he runs in the Preakness.
