The 2009 fall meet from Hollywood Park gets underway on Friday, November 13th, and the 8-race program will be run under the lights.
The fall meet has been scaled back to 27-days. The first two Friday programs will be run at night, and Friday racing will move back to daylight hours on Nov 27th.
Highlights of the meet begin with the Turf Festival, which kicks off with the Grade 1 Citation on Nov 27th. The Grade 3 Generous and Grade 1 Matriarch will be contested on Nov 28th, and the 3-day turf extravaganza ends with the Grade 3 Miesque and Grade 1 Hollywood Derby on Nov 29th.
Two-year-old males take center stage in the Grade 1 CashCall Futurity on Dec 19th, and the juvenile fillies take their turn in the Grade 1 Hollywood Starlet the following day.
I will have all of the Hollywood action covered in my daily pick six blog, which began with the Del Mar meeting earlier this summer.
I successfully pegged one pick six and Del Mar and two more during the recently concluded Oak Tree meet.
The opening night Hollywood (Nov 13th) pick six is now posted, and click here to view the free analysis and tickets.
Friday’s free Horse Racing Nation selection is the 8th race from Hollywood Park, and you can view my pick here.
