Edge to early/pressing types on the main. The lone turf sprint carded was taken by an off the pace type.
Hat trick for Tyler Baze. Rafael Bejarano booted home a pair. Doug O’Neill saddled two winners on Friday night.

Five graded stakes highlighted a terrific July 5th card at Hollywood Park, and Azul Leon started the stakes action with a good looking four-length triumph in the Grade 1 Hollywood Juvenile Championship. Doug O’Neill trainee was coming off a layoff and was not facing much, but the son of Lion Heart was much the best under Bejarano. He will likely show up in a graded event or two at Del Mar.
Zenyatta ran her record to 6-6 in the Grade 1 Vanity, although she was not nearly as impressive this time around. She made her customary late run to seize the …read more
