Friesan Fire did not return in the pink on Thursday. He rallied to finish an even 3rd in a race he surely had to need, and the Steve Asmussen runner should move forward next time. Fair Grounds Recap – Nov 29th
Four main track sprint wire jobs. A stalker and a closer made up the two route winners, and patient runners fared best on the grass.
James Graham and Eddie Martin Jr. both booted home a pair.
Cya Later Bert stayed close enough to inside speedster Unexpected Valor in the 7th, and the heavy chalk wore down my best bet by a 1/2 length. The winner deserved to score at the speed friendly six furlong distance. Watch the replay here.

Evolutionist ran to his low odds with a sharp win in the 23rd running of the Woodchopper Stakes. James Graham booted home the turf stakes winner for Bill Mott.
Wow Wow Wow (10th race) was aggressively handled by Jacinto in wire job route maiden tally for Wayne Lukas. A pair of Al Stall Jr. trainees (Dr. Hudson, Hazards of Love) followed the winner across the line, and they should …read more

Fair Grounds Recap – Nov 15th
Early-pressing types dominated the six dirt sprints. Lone main track route was nabbed by a stalker. Stalkers and closers best on the sod.
James Graham and Jamie Theriot both booted home a pair. Bret Calhoun saddled two winners on the afternoon.
On the analysis front, I got Group ($17.20) home in the 2nd, along with the $794.60 pick three that started with him. Also nailed the $287.80 trifecta in the 6th, and my best bet $15.60 exacta in the 7th.
Pick 6 carries again, and the pool has crept up to $2,241.

Heavy fav Cush just lasted over recent Tom Amoss claim Mr. Porter for state bred allowance sprinters (race 8). Speaking of Amoss, he found the winners’ circle in the 6th with late running surface switcher Cya Later Bert.
Points of Grace (Point Given) gamely held off Dictina Too and Talkin Indian in the optional claiming turf route feature (replay below). Overbet fav Lady Attack (4th) desperately needed the outing.

Nice state bred entry level turf tally for Awesome Amazon (race 4). She was one I was following at Louisiana Downs. Riina gamely landed the place and probably could’ve given the winner a run for her money with a better post/trip. Sarah’s Best Day set the pace and held the show in a fine effort.

Sloppy track and off the turf. Five wire jobs on the wet main track.
Four bagger for Robby Albarado, and two more wins for leading rider James Graham. Sturges Ducoing saddled the late double.
Early Return was a sharp stalking winner of the 8th. Note he was coming off a runner-up effort behind subsequent impressive winner Timely Advice. Stakes placed Blackberry Road rallied for the place.
Geoache ran away with the finale. Uncle Josh was well clear of the rest and won’t be a maiden much longer.
