New College Basketball Rule Irks Coach K

I’ll be the first one to admit that deciding between a charge and a block is probably the hardest call to make on the basketball court. There’s no consistency. Big time players and schools always seem to come away with the charges (can anyone say … Duke?). Perhaps that is why the NCAA decided to institute a new rule for the 2009-2010 college basketball season.
Ironically enough, Duke Blue Devils coach Mike Krzyzewski isn’t a fan. The new rule specifies an unmarked zone under the basket where referees can call only blocks and not charges on offensive players.

Apple’s Magic Mouse is Simply… Magic!

Apple announced iMacs, MacBooks and Mac Minis but the thing that caught my attention most is a small $69 device called the Magic Mouse.
I was never really a big fan of Apple’s mice. From the hockey puck one and all the mice in between up to the Mighty Mouse, I felt it was ok but there were far superior mice at a fraction of the cost.
The Magic Mouse is different… oh it’s so different. It looks sleek and it seems like it’s right out of a sci-fi movie. It’s in heart it’s still a mouse but it’s so much more. …read more
LeBron’s Cancer Scare

The rumors of a possible Swine Flu infection were overshadowed this morning as LeBron James admitted to ESPN that he had a lump removed from his jaw back in June.
James discovered the lump early last year and had to undergo numerous tests to find out whether it was cancerous or not.
“I was working with some good professionals,” he said, according to ESPN.com. “They were telling me they didn’t think it was cancer, but we had to be sure, of course.”
Thankfully, the lump was benign.
I’m surprised that this information is just coming to light now, but it’s understandable why James would …read more

This is probably going to be the longest 1-2 weeks of my life. I sent my MacBook Pro in for repairs last Wednesday *cry* The night before I was still watching videos on my laptop, then I fell asleep while watching, and when I woke up the next day my laptop won’t turn on! I thought it was a simple case of drained battery. But unfortunately, after charging the battery for practically the whole day, my laptop still won’t start. So I will be laptop-less for the next week and so. And gosh, I’m totally realizing that I’ve been totally …read more
Gretzky Quits As Phoenix Coyotes Coach

Well, it’s finally happened after a summer of speculation. Wayne Gretzky is stepping down as the head coach and director of hockey operations of the Phoenix Coyotes. I know that it’s probably best for the team since The Great One isn’t the best coach but it’s still a little sad. Gretzky feels that it’s time to move on and was hoping, as the team’s managing partner, that the bankruptcy proceedings would have been finished by now. I thought it would be decided by now as well and it’s pretty frustrating that the

For many years starting with the game’s release, the dreadlord Varimathras stood by the side of Lady Sylvanas in the Undercity acting like her right hand man. But everyone who has done it knows the fate of the traitorous dreadlord, an epic fight where you go up in arms alongside Warchief Thrall and Lady Sylvanas themselves.

After 14 seasons in the NHL, goaltender Olaf Kolzig is hanging up his skates. He’s such a well-loved netminder that it’s sad to see him go but it has also been sad to see him on teams that didn’t allow him to really show his full potential for most of his career. He leaves behind an impressive set of statistics: He is ranked 21st in the NHL with 303 career wins
