Apple-Cran Toddy

Now that Autumn is here, so is the cold weather.  And just like you enjoy a ‘cold one’ on a hot summer’s day, you should do the same when it gets chilly.  A warm alcoholic beverage can really hit the spot on a cold day, so give this drink made with Tequila Herradura a shot.
Herradura Apple-Cran Toddy

4 cups apple cider

1 cup cranberry juice cocktail
1 medium sized cinnamon stick
4 ounces Herradura Reposado
1.5 ounces triple sec

Low Carb Margarita

Low and even no carb drinks are the wave of the future.  Don’t get me wrong, I’m a carb loving girl, but I will try anything once.  I have to admit, when I first saw this drink, I had myself a good laugh.  I have had low carb beer before, and I’ve got to admit… I’m not a big fan.
But margaritas are fun and diverse and more likely to produce a tastier low carb drink.  So, here is the recipe brought to you by Voodoo Tiki Tequila.  I think it’s worth a shot.
Ingredients

1 1/2 oz of Voodoo Tiki Platinum …read more

What Her Drink Says About Her

You can tell a lot about a girl by the drink that she orders.  Fun, flirty, boring or a stick in the mud; all of these things can be figured out with a bit of investigation.  How do I know?  Because I’m a girl and I know what girls are like.  So the next time you’re on a date with a girl and you can’t quite read her, wait until the waitress comes around.  And take note, because this could determine the outcome of your night.
If she orders Red Wine:
I wouldn’t jump the gun here and assume that she is …read more

Flip Cup: The Funnest Drinking Game Ever

As long as there has been drinking, there have been drinking games.  I’m sure when alcohol was first invented people sat around thinking, “this stuff is awesome!  But you know what would make it better?  A game.”  Yep, that’s exactly how it happened.  If university taught me one thing, it’s how to play drinking games.  I pretty much minored in them.
By far, the best game is Flip Cup.  It always gets the party started.
This is how you play.
Divide your guest into two teams.  Both teams stand of either side of a table and each person has a cup filled with …read more

Top 3 Manliest Drinks

Some people think the manliest drink is beer.  I think not.  Most chicks order beer nowadays and it’s so common that I don’t think it really says anything about the man.  In my opinion the top three manliest drinks are as follows:
The Bloody Caesar

1 oz. vodka
5 oz. of Clamato Juice
3 drops of Tabasco
2 drops of Worcestershire
Salt and pepper

Pour over ice cubes
I’m sure most of you out there know how to make a Caeser, but there is the recipe just in case.  The Bloody Caesar is the older man’s drink.  It’s an acquired taste and meant to be savored.  To me, …read more

Root – Like Rootbeer but SO Much Better

I just got the most amazing PR packet in from Root.
I’ve said before that I like “weird” spirits and I also like fantastic packaging. The way a product is presented can either make you want to try what’s in the packaging or it can make you not want to try it.
I was already excited about Root but the presentation put me over the top. Really, how can you beat little mason jars full of booze?
I screwed off the lid of one of the cute bottles and took a sniff.
Root beer.
My heart fell a bit because I was under the impression …read more
