The New York Post quotes a friend of the actor as saying “they haven’t booked a venue or made any solid plans. He just knows he wants to do it in April, and he’s been asking what is involved in a traditional Russian wedding ceremony.”

Wow.  Well, he’s trying hard.  The same source said that he’s taking Russian lessons to please his future bride.  I hope it’s all worth it.  Good luck to the happy (?) couple!

Mickey Rourke Is Getting Married

In the movie, the young Shosanna Dreyfus (Mélanie Laurent) witnesses the execution of her family at the hand of Nazi Colonel Hans Landa (Christoph Waltz) in German-occupied France.  She manages to escape the “Jew Hunter” and creates a new identity and becomes the owner and operator of a cinema.

Meanwhile, Lieutenant Aldo Raine, who is masterfully portrayed by Brad Pitt, is busy organizing a group of Jewish soldiers, known as “The Basterds,” to engage in targeted acts of retribution.  They enlist the help of popular German actress and undercover agent Bridget Von Hammersmark (Diane Kruger) on their mission to take down the leaders of The Third Reich.

All sorts of crazy stuff happens but all of the storylines end up converging in a very memorable scene at Shosanna’s Parisian theater – where she has been plotting her own revenge.

“Inglourious Basterds” on DVD and Blu-ray

In the movie, Maguire plays Sam, a decorated Marine who goes missing overseas leaving his wife, Grace (his high school sweetheart), and children to assume he’s been killed.  Sam’s younger brother, Tommy, has never been accepted by the family and has been in and out of trouble but when he sees Grace and the girls struggling, he steps in and provides some support to his brother’s family.

Over time, Tommy and Grace develop a relationship but the unimaginable happens – Sam comes home.  His helicopter was shot down but he survived and now is withdrawn and volatile.  Things only get worse when he becomes suspicious about Tommy and Grace.  Things get pretty intense after that…

I don’t know what I would do or suggest in a situation like this.  The man you loved is no longer who he was when you married him and now you’ve developed an emotional attachment to someone else.  You can’t go back but it feels wrong not to honor your marriage.  Crazy.

Almost everyone can relate to how crazy things can get during spring break but I’m sure they’ve never seen anything quite like this!

On South Padre Island, some hot cuties enjoy beer pong, beach parties and some girl on girl action.  Horny roommates Monica and Alyssa demonstrate how they spend their time along in their dorm.  Courtney and Ashley are two hot 19-year-olds who hate wearing panties.

As if that wasn’t awesome enough, Shannel is barely legal but she knows how to get herself off and Sarah invites the GGW crew back to her room for a mind-blowing shower session.

Girls Gone Wild: Spring Break Sex Party

Writer Chris Columbus and producer Steven Spielberg pulled together to bring a movie about a Christmas that a small town will never forget.  Do-gooder, Billy Peltzer, gets a very unusual gift from his inventor dad – a furry creature that comes with a very specific set of rules.  Gizmo can’t be fed after midnight, can’t get wet and must be kept away from direct sunlight.  Of course, every single one of these rules gets broken (multiple times) and all hell breaks loose.  What starts as a sweet little cuddly pet turns into a legion of green, scaly and malevolent monsters (a.k.a. gremlins).

The effects are great for the time and the screenplay is funny and believable.  If you haven’t seen it, you have to give it a try and if you’ve been waiting for it to come out of Blu-ray, you’re in luck!  It just came out earlier this week – just in time for Christmas!

Now on Blu-ray: “Gremlins”

The film is being released on May 7, 2009 with Don Cheadle replacing Howard.  Rhodey will eventually become War Machine who is brought to life by modifying the silver Iron Man suit and taking it on as his own.  He’s going to have a full set of weapons at his disposal, most notably that massive machine gun turret on his shoulder.

I’m not completely sure if Iron Man and War Machine are going to be buddies in this movie (part of me wants Iron Man to hate him since I don’t like Cheadle in this role).  In the comics, the two did have a falling out but they were able to patch things up over the years.  I can’t wait to find out what this movie’s storyline is all about.

New “Iron Man 2” Poster Includes War Machine

Don’t get me wrong – I love Stephen King – but when he deviates from his formula, it’s pretty great and The Green Mile is one of those examples.

The film, which was released on Blu-ray this week, stars Tom Hanks as a prison guard who must oversee death row at Cold Mountain Penitentiary which is nicknamed “the green mile” because of the color of the flooring.  It’s a tough job that is only made more difficult by the fact that one of the inmates is a man who might be divine in some way since he’s able to perform miracles.  His gift is misunderstood and, because he is a black man, he suffers due to the ignorance and intolerance of others.

It’s a very long movie (over three hours long) and it’s incredibly emotional but it’s also very interesting and well-made.

“The Green Mile” on Blu-ray

That being said, I had some high hopes for this installment since the cast was pretty good and it seemed that they were taking the script seriously.  I personally didn’t love Christian Bale in the role of John Connor (he wasn’t bad, though) and, for whatever reason, I just couldn’t get into the storyline.  There were so many things that just didn’t jive.

For example, John is so responsible and he knows how difficult life is after Judgment Day so it’s weird to me that he and his wife chose to have a baby (she’s pregnant in the movie).  Maybe it’s because they are so focused on the survival of humankind?  Either way, they live underground and life outside of their compound basically sucks (and they are hunted, of course) so I just can’t accept that these two opted to bring another life into the world.

Regardless, Terminator purists will want to see the movie so if you’re interested, pick up a copy today.

Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian

The film follows the life of famous comedian, George Simmons (Sandler), who, after suffering a serious health scare, sets off to visit places and people from his past in an effort to reconnect with what matters most.  Of course, he’s got to check up on the girl who got away (Mann).  Rogen stars as his assistant who also happens to be a struggling comedian.

I’ve heard all sorts of things about the movie.  Some people said it was hilarious but there were critics who really panned it so I guess you’ll have to decide for yourself.
