More “National Lampoon’s Vacations” Coming

I always like the National Lampoon’s Vacation movies, the Christmas one is my favorite holiday movie, but I think they should have stopped before Vegas Vacation. Us Magazine is reporting that we haven’t seen the last of the Griswolds.
Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo will be reprising their roles as Clark and Ellen Griswold but it won’t be on the big screen. Instead, they will be part of a new ad campaign to be launched during the next Superbowl on February, 7 2010. The commercial will be a throwback to the original 1983 movie and will promote HomeAway vacation rentals (I’ve …read more
“Dexter” Season 4, Episode 8 Recap

Last night’s episode of Dexter was crazy – literally. There were all sorts of twists and hints at oddities that it’s hard to even know where to begin. I guess we’ll just start with the more mundane stuff.
LaGuerta and Batista continued to have a hard time being around each other without ripping each other’s clothes off. Eventually, the inevitable happened and they got it on in one of the conference rooms. Of course, they are risking their careers but sometimes love is more important, right?
Quinn’s suspicions about Dexter are growing. He commented on the fact that the blood spatter analyst …read more
Next “Californication” Will Rock Hank’s World

Have you been keeping up with Californication this season? It’s a lot better than last season, in my opinion, but still not as good as the first. So far, Hank (David Duchovny) has learned about the difficulties of raising a teenage daughter and he’s managed to get himself into a four-way love nightmare but with a womanizer like Hank, it’s not too surprising.
A couple episodes ago, rocker Rick Springfield showed Marcie what it feels like to be “Jessie’s Girl” (yeah, forgive the cheesy reference to his biggest song) much to the horror of her husband, Charlie.
I was pretty astonished by …read more
“Justice League” The Complete Series

Who didn’t watch Justice League as a kid? I used to enjoy sitting down with my brother and watching them take on formidable foes and kick some major villain ass.
The show included some of the world’s greatest superheroes. Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, The Flash, Hawkgirl and Martian Manhunter joined forces to create the Justice League and take on “powerful villains, supernatural creatures and evil entities.”
What else would a show about superheroes be about?
The Justice League: Complete Series box set has been released earlier this week and consists of 15 discs including all of the episodes so …read more
“Dawson’s Creek” The Complete Series

Before you start rolling your eyes (or pretending to) I know a lot of guys who were closet fans of Dawson’s Creek. Sure a lot of people said they watched it because of their girlfriend, wife or sister but there’s a reason why the show catapulted the careers of Katie Holmes and Michelle Williams even though I never found either of them all that attractive.
Maybe that was part of the charm, though. I think the thing that made people like this show was that the cast looked like regular kids that you might find at your own high school. …read more

The fourth season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians premiered last night but if you’ve missed some of the earlier episodes, you might want to pick up a copy of the complete second season which will be released on DVD tomorrow.
As described on Amazon, “Kim, Khloé, and Kourtney are back in the limelight, focusing on their individual careers, while mom Kris tries to keep the family together and manage her daughters’ professional lives.”
Of course, by the time this second season rolled around, the family had become a lot more famous so viewers will get to see how the Kardashians handle …read more
“Dexter” Season 4, Episode 7 Recap

Last night’s episode of Dexter began with the arm of a female victim being found in the belly of an alligator. One might assume that the animal was the culprit but wounds on the wrist showed that the woman had been murdered before she was fed to the gators. After the victim was identified, Miami Homicide discovers that she was a model and was among several women who had disappeared after working with a certain photographer.
Meanwhile, Quinn’s reporter girlfriend, Christina, tries to get an interview with Debra and the detective asks her big brother to help get her off …read more
Taylor Swift Kills It on Saturday Night Live

Singer Taylor Swift was the host and the musical guest on Saturday Night Live last night and she absolutely killed it. Of course, everyone was wondering if she was going to take the opportunity to make fun of her run-in with Kanye West after he stormed the stage and ruined her acceptance speech at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.
For her monologue, she created a song that addressed the issue along with several others. She took some MAJOR swipes at ex-boyfriend, Joe Jonas, who reportedly cheated on her and broke up with her over the phone. She also took …read more
"What Would Brian Boitano Make?" Returning

Okay, I seriously didn’t know that this show existed but, apparently, enough people knew about it and watched it since the Food Network has ordered a second season of What Would Brian Boitano Make?
Production gets underway this December with the 10 new episodes airing in March, 2010. In case you are like me and you’ve never heard of this series, Olympic figure skating gold-medalist, Boitano, brings people back to his San Francisco home where he prepares elaborate meals.
I’m guessing the name of the show was inspired by the very popular song “What Would Brian Boitano Do?” which was featured in …read more
“V” Pilot Premieres To Great Reviews
November 4, 2009 by Jeanne Dupuis

When I was a little kid, the original V series terrified me. That was back in 1983 and I was in Kindergarten but it scared me enough that I still think about it from time to time. I was a little hesitant to give this show a shot because of my post-traumatic stress but there’s a lack of good sci-fi shows on TV right now so I felt I owed it to myself to check it out – and I’m glad I did.
Most of the reviews I’ve seen have been favorable with even E! Online saying that the pilot ”on a scale of …read more
