BAD SITE: www.PartyTentCity.com

I’m almost ashamed to even highlight the PartyTentCity website on Uncover the Internet, but it’s like a bad car crash, you can’t turn away from the horror of it all.

The top design is bad enough you think. Text ads everywhere, but you’ve yet to scroll down and see the other 98 “sections”.

I think there is at some point a font and or color they missed putting on the site.

If you’re the owner of this website please let me know how much you’re making from the advertising revenue to justify this design.

This post has now inspired me to add another category to Uncover the Internet. In the theme of Web Pages That Suck, we’ve added “Website Design Crimes“.

Not sure where you got the picture that you put with my site http://www.PartyTentCity.com It is my photo but not from the primary page. There are many of you who can not figure anything out from the website. I will make a deal with you or anyone else.. Re-make http://www.PartyTentCity.com on your server and I will re-make your site in my style and put it on my server. Then we will measure how many hits are on both sites. The image I posted is from your main index page. It’s changed a bit, but not much. Not really interested in your deal, my comment was made purely from the point of aesthetic design, not marketing or page-rank brilliance. My original question is still out there though, how much are you making on advertising and Google AdSense from this site?

Jason, I respect your comment on http://www.PartyTentCity.com . You may not be aware that the internet is not about aesthetic design. It is about communication, learning, purchasing, entertainment and marketing. Did the site offend you or just not meet your style designs? You seem to be interested in monetary income. What is your income and what do you contribute to society? Brian Nelson 713-467-3025.

Brian, you obviously don’t respect my comment about the website as you believe it was wrong for me to suggest there was a problem with it. You may not be aware that the Internet is about much more than you listed and one of those things is communication as you stated which includes graphic design and clarity of the message. I really don’t care how much money you’ve made on the site, that wasn’t my point at all. Yet, since you bring it up I’m wondering how much business you’ve generated for the Party Tents company compared to the amount of money you’ve generated for advertising. Send me a scanned copy of one of your checks generated for advertising revenue and then I’ll entertain the idea of discussing marketing with you.

Aw, man, don’t pick on Brian Nelson. I want him to be my grandpa.

I have absolutely no need for party tents, but for some reason Brian’s voice hypnotized me into watching a 7 minute video on them.

Seriously, this guy is awesome. Yeah, the site design is pretty eye-sore-ish, but there’s a certain charm in it.
