Bing – Moving in the Right Direction

Bing has been out now for a couple of days and everyone’s written their viewpoints on the new search engine from Microsoft. It’s a nice, new, clean design for Microsoft and their search, but it’s very similar to their Live Search that’s been out for awhile.

I’ve watched the video that was released about Bing and I’ve used the new search decision engine a few different times. My viewpoint is that it’s now really anything astonishingly new or different. I’m sure the logarithms behind everything are pretty cool, but as an end-user, it’s all about the end result of my search and if I find what I was looking for right?

The one thing that always surprises me about searching for items on different search engines is that the order and results displayed always surprises me.

I will say that the way Bing organizes and even pre-organizes what you may be searching for is a nice touch. Microsoft I like what you’re doing and where you appear to be heading, but I just don’t see anything here that’s going to draw me away from Google search anytime soon.
