Cozi Central – Online Organization for Families

My wife uncovered this little gem of a site today and shared it with me. It seems she’s always looking for the latest tool or resource to help her make things easier in her life. This time it’s Cozi.

As you can see from the screen shot, there’s a family calendar, a shopping list and messages. The site integrates with your mobile phone so that any information a member of your family shares on the site is accessible from your phone. There’s also a Cozi toolbar that you can download and sync your Cozi calendar with your Outlook calendar if you prefer. Lastly, although we haven’t played with it yet, there’s a photo collage screen saver you can activate. My existing screen saver already does that though, so that part didn’t interest me too much.

Cozi was founded by some ex-Microsoft employees and they’ve done a really good job with this tool. I like it. My only challenge with tools like this is for it to be yet one more place that I need to maintain a calendar. What I’d like for someone to invent is a tool that could synchronize ALL my calendars: Yahoo!, Hotmail, PDA, Outlook, Cozi, etc.
