GoDaddy and FireFox

Okay, time for a short rant. Why in the world doesn’t GoDaddy (or someone else have a Firefox extension to let you quickly check availability of a domain name. It would be great if it would even help you manage your existing domains, hosting and e-mail.
Internet Explorer 7 lets me add a GoDaddy search tool!
You can add a GoDaddy button to your Google Toolbar, but I see nothing available that directly integrates with Firefox. Irritating.
Okay, I’m done.

There don’t appear to be any domain availability searches for the firefox browser, but there are many ‘whois’ search engines available to add. (the good ones, at least) can at least tell you if something is potentially available if there’s no whois info available on a domain.

I’ll do just about anything to avoid having to use IE
I added a Godaddy.com domain name search to my Firefox browser. It should appear in the right hand corner of your screen everytime you visit the Go Daddy website. You just click it and that is about it! It will come up in your search engine tool bar.
Yeah, I’ve been waiting on that to pop up, because I’d thought I’d seen it before, but it’s not displaying again for me.
Clear your cookies and then go to http://www.godaddy.com and you should see it on the right hand side in Firefox.
I keep clicking on the button to add the GoDaddy Search to my Firefox Browser, but it never does download. I have tried dozens of times and it never works. And yes, I do have the latest version of Firefox (in case you were wondering).
I’ve been experiencing the same issue. I don’t know what the problem is there.
I trying to do the same in my Apple PowerBook G4 but nothing happens
I have it working in my PC-Vista this search engine from Godaddy.com
Well i hope that you find a solution
Regards,
It used to work. The new version of firefox somehow broke the thousands of search extensions.
I was going to suggest that as well, was just searching for a link to send my own readers to. I have it installed and it works with FF3, but for the life of me I can’t remember how I found it to install it.
Keep looking – it’s out there!
Yeah, I have the same issue. Installed it on my old firefox, but when I upgraded it appears that it was wiped off. Now when I go back to Godaddy, I’m not offered the same option to add it back… and Anne, I *have* cleared my cookies, but I still don’t see the option
You can get the Firefox search here: http://www.godaddy.com/gdshop/godaddysearch.asp?ci=8917&img=ff
Anyone have a GoDaddy account? I need to migrate my shared servers to a dedicated server and not sure how all of that works.
