I would like to introduce a book that could be a valuable resource to would-be authors on this blog.

Publishing for Small Press Runs is a pioneering book promoting quick and affordable short press run book publication using the latest digital technology for producing covers and text. This 372-page guide currently is being used as the course text for a class at the University of New Orleans. For more information, see www.ChatgrisPress.com, Books, Publishing for Small Press Runs.

For an AuthorViews video, see http://www.authorviews.com/authors/smith/video.php.

[...] Awhile back I shared about a site name izimi that let anyone publish and actually “serve” any file they wanted to anyone else on the Internet. The only thing the recipient needed to have was a browser on their end to view the files. [...]

For someone who started out not really getting it, you're now demonstrating a thorough understanding of izimi! And I love your idea of a dedicated izimi home server.

Above all, thank you for being so positive! Our launch went really well yesterday and, yes, we do have many plans with all sorts of exciting new features in the pipeline, so watch this space!

All the best,

Interesting article.

I'm currently starting a new website (http://www.letsgetpublished.com/) that has the initial aim of putting the work of authors directly onto the desktops of publishers and literary agents.

However, longer term the aim is to offer e-publishing as a service, and I think that the izimi mechanism could be the ideal way forward for that service to be enabled.

Regards,
Nigel Edwards, Let's Get Published.
