It was three years ago today that I wrote my first post for Uncover the Internet. My first post was about the YouSendIt service which lets you send large files to people via the Internet instead of email. It’s a site I still use and recommend to this day.
Over the years I’ve written about quite a few different sites and interesting things you can find on the world wide web. The web is loaded with fun stuff to find and share with others and hopefully we can keep uncovering interesting items and useful sites for you to enjoy.

Yahoo! Customer Service….Yahorrible!

I thought it might be interesting to share a recent blog post by my friend Brian Layman, whom I work with at b5media. He has shared recently on his blog some correspondence between him and Yahoo concerning what appears to be a desired upgrade to one of their services.
Have you had this kind of service from Yahoo!? I’d love to hear your own stories, but let’s get this issue exposed and blown wide-open to as many people as possible.

Twittervision – Eavesdropping on the Planet

One of the more interesting applications I’ve been using lately is twitter. At first I didn’t really get it. I was already using IM and blogging and e-mail of course, so the ability to blast out a short little “tweet” about what I’m doing just seemed like a waste of time.
I didn’t really catch on to the power of the application until I attended SXSW a few weeks ago in Austin and the entire b5 team used it as a sort of GPS tracking and status update mechanism for anyone in our group. We used it for quick information …read more
