You know what they say about guys with big feet don’t you? They usually have a hard time finding shoes that fit them. That shouldn’t be a problem anymore with finding sites like 2BigFeet.com.
During our years in business, we have shipped countless pairs of shoes to happy customers around the world. We’ve made friends on every continent (except Antarctica.) We credit our success to our business concept, which is the same today as when we first envisioned 2BigFeet.com: we work hard to find shoes that are made in large sizes, establish strong relationships with manufacturers, keep as much inventory [...]
Post from: Uncover the Internet

We credit our success to our business concept, which is the same today as when we first envisioned 2BigFeet.com: we work hard to find shoes that are made in large sizes, establish strong relationships with manufacturers, keep as much inventory on-hand as possible, make our store available to everyone via the Internet, charge a fair price, stand behind what we sell.

I met the owner, Brandon Eley, while I was in Vegas at Blog World Expo 08 and figured since I could probably take advantage of his site, along with my brother and a couple of friends, I should share it with the rest of the world too.

I’m at the small end of their scale, their sizes start with 14. Depending on the shoe I wear between 12.5 – 14, but my brother has larger feet and a have a number of friends that could take advantage of the site.

Another great online application I was reminded of while at Blog World Expo 08 is picnik. I’m should be ashamed that I haven’t shared this site for you all yet. It’s a great app that does just about everything most users would want with regards to photo-editing, while all the time being FREE!
Tris Hussey showcased this little app during his "How to be More than a Blog: New Media Integration" session.
Check-out this list of features you can take advantage of in the completely free version of picnik:

I’m should be ashamed that I haven’t shared this site for you all yet. It’s a great app that does just about everything most users would want with regards to photo-editing, while all the time being FREE!

Check-out this list of features you can take advantage of in the completely free version of picnik:

Fix your photos in just one click

Use advanced controls to fine-tune your results

Crop, resize, and rotate in real-time

Tons of special effects, from artsy to fun

Astoundingly fast, right in your browser

Awesome fonts and top-quality type tool

Basketfuls of shapes from hand-picked designers

Works on Mac, Windows, and Linux

No download required, nothing to install

Can you believe that? What else does 80% of the online population need in their editor?

The only drawback I can think of is that it’s online and not offline, so those surfers with a slower Internet connection may find the experience less than amazing. Those of us with broadband connections.

Perhaps even just as impressive is that you can use picnik to edit your photos even when they’re already on some of the most popular image hosting sites available for Internet users: myspace, flickr, facebook, photobucket, Picasa, webshots, freewebs, and of course those images you’ve already got sitting on your own computer.

Uncover the best, free online photo editing application on the web. Go have a picnik!

One of the vendors I checked out at Blog World Expo 2008 last week was Crowd Science. I spoke briefly with there CEO, John Martin, and he gave me a great, simple overview of what their service is all about.
It’s really as simple as one of the statements on their website:
Traffic stats are only part of the story.

Stats like visitors and page views are only part of the information that’s really worth collecting about your site’s visitors. Crowd Science let’s your serve short questionnaires to your audience and find out more specific demographic information about them.

That information has value to it merely because of the ability to then use the information to tune and polish your site for the group of readers you’re already attracting to your site. Or, perhaps you see you’re missing a demographic you’re wanting and you can then tune to attract a different demographic.

Using fundamental research principles, Crowd Science can help you create a model of your audience that reveals more than the records of IP addresses and page views. Our audience measurement service is able to build deep, topic-area-specific statistical models of the demographics and attitudes of the visitors to your website.

After finding out more about Crowd Science, I realized that they are the service that’s hosting the surveys being used on this site and other b5 sites as well. So if you’re prompted to complete the survey, we’d love for you to let us know a little more about you.

I’ve installed Crowd Science on a few of my own personal blogs so I’m really looking forward to finding out a little more about who’s stopping by my sites to visit and see what I have to say.

If you’re running a website, and it doesn’t have to be a blog, you can use Crowd Science to help yourself as well.
