I’ve featured a couple of Tim Hawkins videos on here before. He could be one of my favorite new comedians in quite awhile. In this video he shares about his experience performing as a young child.

Tim’s facial expressions are priceless and really sell his jokes. Visit his website at www.timhawkins.net and see if he’ll be coming to a town near you soon. I know he’ll be in Fishkill, NY. That’s just funny by itself, whether he’ll be there or not.

I just shared a post on computers of a video from a new comedian I came across this weekend. He combines his comedy routine with a variety of musical jokes and song spoofs that he’s written. In this one he rewrites Green Day’s "Time of Your Life".

Hopefully that brings a smile to your Monday morning and starts your week off with a laugh. You can find more of Tim Hawkins performances on YouTube or his official website. Be sure and see his remake of "Jesus Take the Wheel" by Carrie Underwood, "Cletus Take the Reel".

WARNING: Video contains language not appropriate for younger children.

I got to visit with my cousin and his family from Kansas this past weekend as they were vacationing near me. We got to talking about comedians some how and the topic of Jeff Dunham came up. They let me know he’s got a new character that I haven’t seen before named Achmed who’s a terrorist. He’s a suicide bomber who had a bit of a premature detonation.
The character is a really funny addition to his team.

NICKNAMES

If Laura, Kate and Sarah go out for lunch, they will call each other Laura, Kate and Sarah.

If Mike, Dave and John go out, they will affectionately refer to each other as Fat Boy, Godzilla and Four-eyes.

EATING OUT

When the bill arrives, Mike, Dave and John will each throw in $20, even though it’s only for $32.50. None of them will have anything smaller and none will actually admit they want change back.

When the girls get their bill, out come the pocket calculators.

MONEY

A man will pay $2 for a $1 item he needs.

A woman will pay $1 for a $2 item that she doesn’t need but it’s on sale.

BATHROOMS

A man has six items in his bathroom: toothbrush and toothpaste, shaving cream, razor, a bar of soap, and a towel.

The average number of items in the typical woman’s bathroom is 337. A man would not be able to identify more than 20 of these items.

ARGUMENTS

A woman has the last word in any argument.

Anything a man says after that is the beginning of a new argument.

CATS

Women love cats.

Men say they love cats, but when women aren’t looking, men kick cats.

FUTURE

A woman worries about the future until she gets a husband.

A man never worries about the future until he gets a wife.

SUCCESS

A successful man is one who makes more money than his wife can spend.

A successful woman is one who can find such a man.

MARRIAGE

A woman marries a man expecting he will change, but he doesn’t.

A man marries a woman expecting that she won’t change, but she does.

DRESSING UP

A woman will dress up to go shopping, water the plants, answer the phone, read a book, and get the mail.

A man will dress up for weddings and funerals.

NATURAL

Men wake up as good-looking as they went to bed.

Women somehow deteriorate during the night.

OFFSPRING

Ah, children. A woman knows all about her children. She knows about dental appointments and romances, best friends, favorite foods, secret fears hopes and dreams.

A man is vaguely aware of some short people living in the house.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY FROM ALL THIS

A married man should forget his mistakes.

There’s no use in two people remembering the same thing!

Yesterday morning I’m dropping off my wife and kids at the front door of the church and the car in front of me, driven by my friend Jeremy, has a Homestar Runner bumper sticker on it. I had actually forgotten about the website, but it may be one of my favorite comedy/humor sites on the web.
I end up following Jeremy and parking next to him. I ask him about the sticker as we’re walking in and he said it’s his cousins that developed and run the site.

I told him to get me a contact and e-mail, I’d love to interview them for the site. Hopefully that will be coming down the pike. I need to find out about them turning down a deal from Pixar for a major movie release.

In the meantime, if you need a late-night pick me up I’d recommend going to the site and clicking on the “rando” link at the bottom-right-hand corner in the black. This will give you a random taste of humor from the site. My personal favorite though are the Strong Bad e-mails. Strong Bad reminds me of Brack from Space Ghost Coast-to-Coast, but that’s a different story altogether.

Go uncover some humor infusion for yourself at Homestar Runner.

If you’re into comedy, then you may decide to check them out. The only downside to downloading the comedy tracks is that sometimes a track is only a 1 minute or so routine, so you’re going to use your download quote up quick doing those.

Also, forgot to suggest that you don’t have to download their Download Manager application if you don’t want to. Just go into your Account/Profile settings and disable that function. You’ll then be able to download the files just like you would any other data file from your browser. You can also setup the file naming structure you want eMusic to use.

Check out the I Got News For You site. You can enter some quick information about yourself and your friend and send them an e-mail with a link to your custom spoofed newspaper frontpage.
Check out the I Got News For You site. You can enter some quick information about yourself and your friend and send them an e-mail with a link to your custom spoofed newspaper frontpage. Or, you can have the page blown up and sent to them poster size if you want to pay for it. I’ve included a screen shot of my spoofed page for my friend.
The site is pretty entertaining and humorous. I’m not sure about the copyright issues that might be involved, but I think the resulting page is a little too easily identified as a spoof. What would be really interesting is if they could grab screen shots of real paper’s front pages or main header graphics for the location you choose and then insert a news story here or there. I think this combined with the ability to upload a photo of your friend for them to insert into the headline story would be what pushes this to exceptional.
