Facebook – up from #2 on the list in 2008. This site is larger in population than most of the other countries in the world. I used to think Facebook would be replaced sometime by something cooler, not so sure now.

Hulu – I’ve been using this more to get some free entertainment. I’ve spoken with a number of people who are debating getting rid of cable/satellite and just relying on sites like Hulu and others for their entertainment fix.

Twitter – I think maybe I liked it more when there were less celebrities involved in twitter, but I’m still addicted to this 140-character micro-blogging tool.

I just came across this site for finding a new cell phone case for my PPC-6700 phone from Audiovox. Cases.com has probably the most variety and extensive catalog for a wide variety of phone models that I’ve ever seen. You can find your phone by manufacturer or network.
Large and numerous images and photos of phones and cases also makes the process of trying to figure out the best phone case for you even easier as well.

The other thing I immediately noticed and liked about this site was the variety of price ranges and options that were available. For my model there were soft and hard cases available ranging from $19 – $50+. In addition to cases he also provides access to batteries and memory cards as well.

Mark Mahoney e-mailed me about a week ago and told me I should check-out the ZOHO website. I was familiar with it as a site, but have never really used it. I’ve also been lucky enough to win copies of Office 2000 Premium and Office 2003 at some tech conventions or Microsoft events.
Mark Mahoney e-mailed me about a week ago and told me I should check-out the ZOHO website. I was familiar with it as a site, but have never really used it. I’ve always just considered the investment cost of having the latest version of Office just one of those expenses that would pay back through a variety of different avenues. I’ve also been lucky enough to win copies of Office 2000 Premium and Office 2003 at some tech conventions or Microsoft events. If that weren’t the case though, checking out some free options for office productivity suites would enter more boldly into my realm of reality.

Mark said this about ZOHO though.

I think you should do a post on some free sites like http://www.zoho.com, an online word processor, slide show creator and much more that allows you to write a paper, with spell check and all, and access it online from any computer. This saves you from having to attach a Word file to your emails, which some computers can’t even open correctly.

Mark, I’ve done as you suggested and taken a look at the ZOHO website. All I can say is that this site seems to have added loads of new features and applications to its list of available solutions for users.

Just look at this list of features:

web-based email, word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, document management, notes, wiki, file share, organizer and planning, chat, CRM, invoicing, web-conferencing, database apps, reporting and business intelligence, recruiting and HR management, and more.

I’ve not used any of these services, but I can tell you this, the next time somebody asks me about some alternatives to Microsoft Office, I’ll think about ZOHO first now instead of Google Apps.

Even if you already own Office though, there are plug-ins that are available that allow you to integrate some of the features and functionality into Office from ZOHO. It also works with your iPhone, Facebook or Windows Mobile device.

What’s been your experience with ZOHO apps? Have you loved it? Too many problems to mention? What do you think?

I’m not one of the few chosen or select few that has an iPhone, but the won’t keep me from letting you know about a slick little website that lets iPhone users really showcase and highlight the photos they can take with their iPhone.

The website that’s going to make that happen is Snapture.

What exactly is the goal behind Snapture and the folks that develop it though?

At Snapture, we believe that mobile photography is the way of the future. But although more and more people are taking pictures on their cell phones, we think the tools available to take such photos are still relatively simplistic. Our goal is to help people take better mobile pictures by enhancing the quality and sophistication of the camera software on your cell phones.

Snapture just loads your iPhone with a collection of additional features and controls that make taking photos more fun and more interesting. Just check-out this feature list to get an idea of what you can do: geotagging, color modes, multi-shots, thumbnail mgmt, gesture zoom, auto-rotation, set touch zone, quiet mode and more.

With Snapture and your iPhone, maybe you folks will actually move another step closer to having one device that really can do just about everything you need.

Now, go hang-up your phone and start taking some pictures with Snapture!

This is a familiar site in a lot of malls and retail centers today with the release of the new iPhone. My question is, “Is it really worth it?” It’s just a phone!
Have you been waiting in line? Do you have a story to share? Photos to share? I’d love to see them!
