The Drop.io website is another listing in that same group of sites. One of the biggest differences from my experience in sharing about these different sites is that Drop.io provides a significant amount of space for users to enjoy for free.

A potential trend for websites that we’ve covered are those that allow and encourage the sharing of information and resources between individuals and groups of individuals.

The Drop.io website is another listing in that same group of sites. One of the biggest differences from my experience in sharing about these different sites is that Drop.io provides a significant amount of space for users to enjoy for free.

The Drop.io site allows you to share an unlimited number of files that can be up to 100MB in size each. The per file limit is something that’s different from many of the file sharing sites that I’ve had experience with. Knowing I wouldn’t run out of space because I wanted to really use the site is a plus for me as well.

With collaboration being a key feature, Drop.io has a number of applications available to take advantage of their services and integrate them with your needs: Firefox plugins, iPhone apps, Desktop app, widgets and more. Making an online tool integrate with your existing system and processes is a feature that really makes it an easy migration to everyday use.

Drop.io gives you the opportunity to try out their service for free for 30-days.

Yahoo 360 was developed as a new social media portal platform that in my opinion never really took off. It was supposed to combine a social network functionality with all the content aggregation from other sources that you’re actively involved. It’s not a huge shock to me it’s shutting down.

I had a Yahoo 360 account because I had a Yahoo account. I’m not sure I ever used the Yahoo 360 platform. Did anyone really use it on purpose? However, after hearing about feedback from people who have used Skitch.com to grab screen capture, it might push me to get a Mac and replace my SnagIt addiction with Skitch.com instead.
Skitch.com is currently available for Mac’s only. I’ll have to tell my brother about this one I guess. Watch the video below for some more details.

Skitch.com does all the basics you’d expect from a good screen capture utility (screen shots, iSight camera capture, annotate images, doodle on images, resize, crop, etc.) , but also combines that with integrating well into Skitch.com , flickr or your .Mac account.
