You don’t have to go out and fight the crowds this Friday to take advantage of some great deals online. One of my favorite online retailers has already started their Black Friday deals now.

You can get deals from many of my favorite online merchants right now. Here’s a list of the ones I may actually be checking out between slices of pumpkin pie and handfuls of chips and broccoli cheese dip.

• Buy.com – Not listed as Black Friday deals, just “Holiday Deals”
• ThinkGeek.com – more cool stuff, even if you don’t get a “deal” on it. You probably won’t find it anywhere else. Just look for stuff on sale.
• OldNavy.com – if clothes are on your list, OldNavy and all their brands are now offering free shipping on orders over $50.

Now, I’m trying to decide if it might actually be fun to go into some stores with a few of my friends and just randomly run screaming to various locations in the store. I wonder how many people would follow us thinking we’ve found a great deal!

I’m sure you can see why Swaxy will wake up your online shopping. Swaxy has taken shopping and brought the sexy back, although I’m not sure when sexy was ever really used in the same sentence with shopping. Thanks to Andrew Matus, the brains behind site, men may think twice before saying they’re don’t like shopping anymore.

One of the ways you can stretch your household budget further is by staying on top of what’s for sale or coming for sale at your local store. I’ve subscribed to email notifications for the stores we shop at most. Many times the information available is helpful in a variety of ways for what you need.

Just do a Google search for your favorite grocery store by name and see what you can find. Now if I could only tell them to stop sending me the junk mail paper ads every week. What a waste when I can get it online for free and no dead trees!

Normally if I were looking for some shoes online I’d first stop by Zappos.com and see what they’ve got available. However, today I was doing a bit of shopping at Finish Line because of a gift card I received for Christmas.

I was checking out there clearance items and found a pair of nice, simple black shoes that I liked and decided to look at them a little closer. Turns out, the features of the Finish Line site really let me take a closer look of exactly the detail I was interested.

What I thought was nice is that you hover over the area of the show you want to see close-up (#1) and it appears in the enlarged windows (#2). You can change the perspective of the view of the shoe you’re seeing by selecting one of the other options like top, side, bottom, left and right (#3).

Very nice! It makes the effort of shopping for shoes and really looking at what your purchasing almost like visiting the store in person.
