I don’t think anyone could argue that Wikipedia has become a pretty useful resource for finding information for just about everything. Sometimes you want to stick with a focused topic and get all the information you can about that subject. The first site that comes to mind in that regards is IMDB.com.
WikiMusicGuide.com is like IMDB.com for music. What I love about IMDB is that you can find just about anything you want to know about a movie or an actor quickly.

Amazon.com has a promotion going now for the 100 greatest Singer-Songwriter Albums of all time. It’s a great list of artists for sure and they’ve got some nice deals on the albums if you want to purchase them of course.
