Uncover the Internet

Just When You Need It… Nooooooooooooooo!!!

Just When You Need It… Nooooooooooooooo!!!

I just had to share this little website that my friend Douglas Karr uncovered for me on twitter. This site is one of those sites that you just keep bookmarked because one of these days you’re going to need it.

We can put the www.noooooooooooooo.com website right alongside the similar sites I’ve shared with you on here before. Sites like www.sadtrombone.com and www.instantrimshot.com are almost beautiful in their simplicity and singular focus.
The website was setup by Scott Stratten (@unmarketing on twitter), so if you use the site, be sure and send him a little "Thank You" message. You can also …read more

A Sacrilege to Star Wars

A Sacrilege to Star Wars

I’m a huge STAR WARS fan. I’ve loved it since I was a little kid. I even enjoy and appreciate the prequel movies. When I see something like the video below, I’m not sure how to handle it.

I’m not sure I even consider something like that humorous. It makes me more nauseous than anything else I think. The only entertaining value I can bring from it is that someone took this seriously and that’s just sad.

TROOPS! – Ride Along With the Imperial Forces

A friend of mine just flashed me back over a decade ago when he mentioned this video. These guys took the "COPS" TV show them and recreated it with with STAR WARS stormtroopers.

This was one of those videos I waited for about 5 hours to download back in the mid-90’s when I first heard about it. It was hilarious then, but just shows how far along we’ve come with video on the web.
Hat tip to prebynski for sharing and reminding me

Star Wars Sound Board

Star Wars Sound Board

I may be going out on a limb here, but I’m going to guess we’ve got a number of Star Wars fans that are probably visiting this site and reading this post. I figure you’ll probably be interested in the Star Wars Sound Board website.

The site provides quality samples from all the different movies and they’re categorized by the different stars or groups of people. Sounds from Chewbacca, Luke, Leia, Han, Jawas and Ewoks to name a few.
Once you’ve created your custom mix of sounds, you can share your creation on a variety of social websites or email them to …read more

VIDEO: Star Wars Beatboxing

VIDEO: Star Wars Beatboxing

Here’s a sweet video of a guy doing the Star Wars theme beatbox style. The camera angle adds to the visual, but it’s too bad the overall quality of the video isn’t any better. Made me think of  Blake Lewis a bit from American Idol fame, what ever really happened to him?

Dancing with the STAR WARS Stars

Our family is at Disney World this weekend. It’s too bad my son couldn’t have caught this show at the time. It looks like it would have been a BLASTER!
Darth Vader and the Stormtroopers were hilarious!

A capella Tribute to John Williams STAR WARS Style

I’m sure that all the STAR WARS fans out there will love this one. This guy has some funny t-shirts too!
I love how this guy does the Wookie sound. My son has been having fun making the R2-D2 screaming sound.

Old School STAR WARS Film Strip

Old School STAR WARS Film Strip

Do you remember these old film strips you used to watch in grade school? The audio would beep and you’d know to advance to the next slide? I was trying to remember if these were the ones with the flexible, square records that you needed to put a coin on to hold down to the turn-table. Or, were they just the ones with a cassette?
Either way, if you’re a STAR WARS fan, you’ll probably enjoy this flashback to your childhood memories.
