I spend quite a bit of time developing websites and other applications for a variety of user audiences and groups. The challenge with developing any type of system or user interface is getting an accurate idea of what the user is experiencing and thinking for themselves. Crowd Science – More Than Just Stats

One of the vendors I checked out at Blog World Expo 2008 last week was Crowd Science. I spoke briefly with there CEO, John Martin, and he gave me a great, simple overview of what their service is all about.
It’s really as simple as one of the statements on their website:

Completing Online Surveys from Purchases

Today I did a little odd thing that I’m sure nobody reading this has ever done, I spent some time at a local Panera Bread. One of the bonuses from this visit was an opportunity to complete an online survey about my visit. I began wondering, “What are my chances of winning this?”. That led me to another question then, my chances would be better if not many people did this like I am, do you complete survey opportunities that are listed on your purchase receipts?
