Perhaps we should just shorten it to U2be. What do you think? Not sure why I hadn’t heard of this concert happening before now, but you can watch U2 perform live on YouTube tonight from their Rose Bowl concert.
I went and saw the U2 in 3D concert at my local IMAX theater last year (or was it two years ago?) and it was amazing. My first thought of watching a concert in a theater wasn’t too high of an expectation, but it turned out to be a really great experience.
I’m guessing watching a concert live on YouTube might be similar. …read more

It was three years ago today that I wrote my first post for Uncover the Internet. My first post was about the YouSendIt service which lets you send large files to people via the Internet instead of email. It’s a site I still use and recommend to this day.
Over the years I’ve written about quite a few different sites and interesting things you can find on the world wide web. The web is loaded with fun stuff to find and share with others and hopefully we can keep uncovering interesting items and useful sites for you to enjoy.

Ready for Spring – BLOOM

Here’s a very nicely shot video of a community welcoming spring coming into the city. I found the video on Vimeo, which has great quality videos in a larger format normally than YouTube. This particular video is by Matthew Brown with background music from Brian Eno and J. Ralph.
BLOOM – HD from Matthew on Vimeo.
The colors and imagery in this video are astounding. As for welcoming spring, I couldn’t quite figure out why everyone was reversed.

We’ve featured a number of funny videos here on Uncover the Internet and there are loads of online video sites where you can find some of your own favorite videos. Now, TIME Magazine has ranked their Top 10 Viral Videos for 2008.
A few of them I’ve seen, but oddly enough most of them were new to me. Not sure how that occurs with a video becoming viral, I thought part of that achievement would be that millions and millions of people have heard of and or seen it themselves.
Were you aware of these? …read more
Comparing YouTube, Vimeo and Viddler

I recently returned from a family trip to Walt Disney World. I received a Flip Ultra video camera from my mother-in-law to take on the trip. I was very impressed with the little camera and it really came in handy for quickly capturing video clips of our trip and memories.
Since the Internet connectivity at Disney was less than I expected and I’m now back at home, it’s time to get all the videos uploaded so we can all share them with our families. The problem is that I’ve got 100+ videos now loaded onto YouTube and I’m noticing …read more

Here’s something you don’t see everyday. I’m not sure what cracks me up more though, the chimp or the song itself.

Just when I was really enjoying all the connections I have been making in Facebook, some jerk hackers are ruining the fun for lots of people.
A few friends of mine on Facebook appear to be infected, and another friend just called to let me know about it and if I knew anything specific.
They’ve released a new worm into the world that spreads itself through a link being sent around with a Google video. When you try to play the video it prompts you that you need to download a new codec. WHATEVER YOU DO DON’T DOWNLOAD …read more

Zack Kim – Playing Two Guitars at Once

Not sure how many other people of seen these videos or heard of this guy, but pretty impressive! I’m guessing it’s similar to a piano player, but seems like it would be much more difficult. Also impressive to me is how drummers can have separate rhythms with hands and feet.
I played trumpet, so just using 3 fingers was enough of a challenge.
You can uncover more of Zack Kim’s talents on his YouTube page, MySpace page and his website.
