I just heard about a new online tool recently called Springpad. It allows you to quickly organize and share a variety of bits and pieces of information that you collect throughout the day that are important to you and put them into defined structure and places.
The other benefit of Springpad is that it harnesses the power of the social networking world and allows you to interact with and share your collections of data with those that are important to you too.
I would say the power of Springpad doesn’t rely in it’s ability to collect your information though, it’s more …read more

It’s a marketing tool as well and the idea is to swarm a location or establishment with business. What company wouldn’t want that kind of attention?!
With coupons, you did like I did tonight and save a few bucks on a variety of different grocery items. Groupon let’s you save real money on some really great stuff that you’d like to do, but you didn’t want to spend the full price on it to …read more

I was over at a friend’s house this evening and their kids wanted to play on Spelling City with my little girl. I’ve never heard of the site and I liked it immediately after finding out more about what the site provides to students.
The Spelling City website lets your sign-up and register as a parent and then have you kids sign-on and practice their own spelling words. The website allows you to add your kid’s spelling words into the site. This lets your kids practice their own words, not just general spelling words.
The other great feature is that teachers can …read more

It’s that time of year again. Fantasy Football time! I’ve got two drafts going on right now. Which is not helpful because I have plenty of other stuff I’m also working on as well! It looks like this year is going to be another stretched out season for me.
I’m going to have fantasy football teams on loads of websites.
Fox Sports Fantasy Football
ESPN Fantasy Football League
Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Football
CBS Sports Fantasy Football
I’m sure it’s going to be quite a bit to keep up with. I know last year I couldn’t remember what player I had …read more

As widespread and commonplace that digital cameras are these days, we still haven’t lost our enjoyment and appreciation for artistic expression we normally see in paintings and drawings. We’ve uncovered the Be Funky website that gives you the ability to transform your photos into works of art.
The Be Funky website allows you to upload a photo and completely transform it into a pencil drawing, an oil painting or even "Andy Warhol-ize" your photo.
The site requires no money and doesn’t even force you to register in anyway at all. Just click on the button to get started and then choose the …read more

WARNING! You may have already lost days of productivity with the site I’m about to tell you about. You should continue reading at your own risk. I am not to be held responsible for the project that didn’t get completed that was due. Period!
The vNES website (Virtual Nintendo Entertainment System) could very well be the largest time-suck I’ve ever written about on Uncover the Internet. Hopefully you’ve taken my warning seriously and if you’re still reading, I assume you understand the consequences of continuing further.

It’s finally happened. I’ve installed an application that I really hadn’t expected to install ever! Due to the regular comments from a good friend, (it’s all your fault Neil!) I’ve joined the ranks for Facebook Farmers of America (FFA). We’ll probably have to get a different color than purple for our corduroy jackets.
It really reminds me of the old game I used to play called SimFarm by Maxis Games. In fact, I’d say some of the code is probably reused for Farm Town.
If you’re not familiar with the game you have a farm that has different plots of land …read more
