Uncovering Software on the Net

Part of the goal of Uncover the Internet is to not only introduce and spotlight a variety of websites and services, but to also help you find software that’s availabe on the internet as well.
A recent article on PC Magazine’s website goes through a list of software in a variety of categories that are available as free downloads from the web. I regularly use a number of the applications mentioned in the list like IrfanView, Google Earth, Picasa, Windows Defender, Audacity and many more.
If you’re in need of a good software fix this may be just the option for you.
