Uncover the Internet

Using Drop.io To Share and Collaborate

We continue to uncover a wide variety of websites on Uncover the Internet. A potential trend for websites that we’ve covered are those that allow and encourage the sharing of information and resources between individuals and groups of individuals.

The Drop.io website is another listing in that same group of sites. One of the biggest differences from my experience in sharing about these different sites is that Drop.io provides a significant amount of space for users to enjoy for free.

The Drop.io site allows you to share an unlimited number of files that can be up to 100MB in size each. The per file limit is something that’s different from many of the file sharing sites that I’ve had experience with. Knowing I wouldn’t run out of space because I wanted to really use the site is a plus for me as well.

With collaboration being a key feature, Drop.io has a number of applications available to take advantage of their services and integrate them with your needs: Firefox plugins, iPhone apps, Desktop app, widgets and more. Making an online tool integrate with your existing system and processes is a feature that really makes it an easy migration to everyday use.

Drop.io gives you the opportunity to try out their service for free for 30-days.
