WhoCallsMe – Find Out Who’s Tele-Spamming

The WhoCallsMe.com website is pretty useful if you’re trying to find out some information about who it is that keeps calling you, or maybe just that random call.
My personal phone habits are that if it comes up on CallerID as Unknown I’ll never answer the phone. If they need to talk to me they can leave a voice-mail and I’ll decide if I’m going to call them back.
Since I have my cell phone synch’d with my Outlook contacts, if a number comes up that I don’t know who it is, I won’t answer either. Leave a message. The only caveat to that is if I’m expecting a call and I recognize the area code as the location of where I’m expecting a call.
The problem today and where I found out about WhoCallsMe.com is that we continue getting marketing fax-spam from a company. We’ve called their automated number to be removed, but that hasn’t really done anything. Surprise! Surprise! Surprise!

I found whocallsme.com today after getting a spam call on my cell phone. This is the second such call in a couple of days, having never before gotten any on my cell phone (home phone, yes; cell phone, no). It’s useful to see the other callers there and to note that it really is spam (car warranty expiration scam and some instant lottery winner scam in Spanish). But is anyone following up to shut down these spammers?
I found whocallsme.com when I was getting 4-5 calls a day for someone looking for my exhusband. We have been divorced 20 years and I am remarried with a different last name, address, phone number, etc but they found me to get to him.He had filed bankruptcy and doesn,t have phone so they were going to use me to get to him!
