Buy a MAC, Stick With It, Deal With It

I read this question over at CNET and I can’t understand why the hell would you worry about running Windows Vista on MAC. The hell do I care about bootcamp. I have never met or talked to anyone who bought a Windows Vista computer worrying about running an OSXsss.
If you buy a MAC computer, stick with it, deal with it; otherwise, buy a Vista. It’s a big waste of time working on this two environments. You don’t get paid more by being skilled in these two platforms.
Question on Notebooks:
I am thinking of buying a new laptop. I am undecided between a Windows Vista-based laptop and a Mac. Would there be a significant difference running Windows Vista on a Mac using BootCamp? Or would the performance be the same as running it on a non-Mac machine? Thanks!
The answer given by Darius Chang:
Thanks to Apple BootCamp, you can run Windows Vista on a Mac system natively with support for most hardware. Hence the experience will be similar, if not exactly the same, as using Windows on a non-Mac computer.
However, note that you will need to purchase a licensed copy of Vista before installing on a Mac, so do factor in the additional cost before deciding. The plus side is that you will have the benefit of running two operating systems on a single machine.

The reason you’d worry about running Vista (or XP in my case) on a Mac is simple … gaming.
For me, I MUCH prefer using OSX for day to day work, to me its faster, more reliable and in general I just prefer it (note there’s something about Vista I just don’t like…)
BUT, when it comes to games, XP or Vista is the only real choice. Sure you can buy Mac games, and I’ve got a few (HoMM5, CIV4), however I’ve tried C&C3 under OSX and under Windows. Its faster and gets better graphics when running under Windows. So basically if you want a Mac, but also want to game, then Vista (or XP) on a Mac is something you do have to worry about.
Actually, I *do* get paid more for knowing and using both OSX and Vista! I am a Senior Systems Manager who has to maintain and manage both operating systems (servers and all), and running Vista on a MacBook Pro for me has been a real Good Thing (TM).

Writing a blog about Vista should implement that you know what “learning” means. On the other side, your statement implies that you have wasted all your time with only products from one manufacturer. It’s a pity you probably don’t look over your own nose.
When I first read the title of this post, I was under the impression that once you bought a Mac, you’re stuck with it. And while the article focuses mainly on using one OS or the other, I think my initial reaction still remains true. If you get a Mac, and buy Mac software, you’re forcing yourself into continuing to buy Apple hardware. Use windows, and you can get your hardware from numerous different companies. You have choice and freedom. Hell, buy windows software and you can even buy a Mac and use it. But when you enter the world of the Mac, there’s nowhere else to go. I guess that’s why there are such vocal Mac advocates. They have to drown themselves in propaganda in order to forget that they’re stuck.
