Critical Patch for Windows XP and Moderate for Vista Next Week

Microsoft seems quiet on the critical patch scheduled for release next week, Jan. 13. Maybe they do not want to spoil the fun while they are at the Consumer Electronics Show CES enjoying their recent announcement on the launch of Windows 7 beta to MSDN and Technet subscribers and eventually to the public. Anyways, the issue is about an Internet worm propagation without user knowledge.

The bulletin is reported to be critical for Windows XP, Windows 2000, and Windows Server 2003. Rating for Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 is set to moderate. However; details would be available on Jan. 13.

I’ll keep you informed on this.
