Critical review of Vista

Paul Thurrott from winsupersite.com has a very good (and critical) article on Vista. In his fifth CTP review he mainly writes about how disappointed he is in the upcoming Windows Vista release. He rambles about everything that is wrong with Vista and the company that’s releasing it. Vista seems to be just an upgraded version of XP and is released way too late. This sort of columns give Vista a really bad name but I do agree on the things Paul writes. MS should step up and add new and exciting features to the OS just like Apple, not just copy the Tiger OS.
Shame on you, Microsoft. Shame on you, but not just for not doing better. We expect you to copy Apple, just as Apple (and Linux) in its turn copies you. But we do not and should not expect to be promised the world, only to be given a warmed over copy of Mac OS X Tiger in return. Windows Vista is a disappointment. There is no way to sugarcoat that very real truth.

MY THOUGHTS,
VERY NICE
BUT NOT WHAT I EXPECTED AFTER THE LONG WAIT
I BELIEVE THE NEW SECURITY WILL ANNOY PEOPLE
UNTIL THEY HAVE A UNDERSTANDING OF IT
OR UNTIL A TECH AJUSTS THESE FEATURES
LOTS OF NICE NEW FEATURES
BUT NOT AS SEXY AS I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE
MICROSOFT SHOULD OF LET ME DO THE PROGRAMMING
I AM USING VISTA 64 LOVE THE SPEED
DUAL MONITORS NO SUPPORT
WITH UPDATED NVIDIA DRIVER FOR VISTA 64
SINCE I LOVE WORKING WITH MAYA & MACROMEDIA ect.
THIS PISSES ME OFF NEEDING THE SECOND MONITOR
LOVE THE GAMING GRAPHICS
(CLEAN VIBRANT CRISP UNBELIEVABLE CLARITY)
LOVE THE FLUIDNESS OF THE VISTA 64 OS
ENJOYING ALL MY APPS THAT CAME OFF XP PRO
MY GIRL WANTS ME TO LEAVE IT ON SO IM STUCK DAMMIT HEHEHEHE.NEEDING THE EXTRA MONITOR
THE PRICE FOR THIS ROTFLMAO (LOOKS LIKE MICROSFT WILL BE TAKING ADVANTAGE
OF THIER CUSTOMERS)THE PRICE IS NOT WORTH THE PROGRAMMING THAT WENT
INTO IT. MY PERSONAL RATING 1-10 ILL GIVE IT A 4(A TURN OFF)
*BUT IT IS A NEW TOY THAT WE ALL WILL HAVE TO HAVE OR BE FORCED TO USE*
THANK YOU VISTA PROGRAMMERS / DESIGNERS (THEY DID HAVE TO SCRATCH 2.5 yrs)
WAITING FOR THE UPDATES?
HOPE THIS ISNT THE FINAL VERSION
WAS A BIG FAN OF WINDOWS. LET ME DOWN.
Most peripherals not supported, a min of 1 GB RAM and 20+ GB HD occupancy!!!!
well not worth it. Linux has better answers.
