How to Access Windows Vista Network Connections Quickly

I just found this post on opening the Windows Vista Network Connections quickly by just adding a shortcut to “C:\Windows\System32\NCPA.CPL”.

In an excerpt:

If you’re a person who accesses the Network Connections folder frequently, then you’ll find the above methods inconvenient. Also, the Control Panel in Windows Vista does not list the Network Connections applet by default. Thankfully, the NCPA.CPL file available in Windows makes it easy to open the Network Connections folder directly.

Simply create a shortcut to C:\Windows\System32\NCPA.CPL and place it on your Desktop, and assign a Hotkey to access the shortcut. Optionally you can Pin this shortcut to the Windows Vista Start menu as well.

I do access this module a lot and seeing this shortcut just put a smile on my face.

You can read the rest of the entry here.
