Microsoft’s Halo 2 for Windows Vista contains nudity and the software giant said they were Content Error? which would be removed in subsequent releases. Microsoft is not pulling out Halo 2 from retailers but would just update the package to warn people from buying the game. Microsoft said a patch would be available to remove the Content Error? but consumers may or may not use the patch.

Privilege Manager 3.0 has been released by BeyondTrust for network security management of Windows Vista which prevents users from using their systems more than they are allowed to.
BeyondTrust is banking on the Principle of Least Privilege developed by The United States Department of Defense which says that users should only be given the minimum set of privileges just enough to complete their tasks. Privilege Manager is a safety net which gives users control over applications, installations and ActiveX controls when organizations improperly implement Least Privilege Environment.
Bill Gates Says Windows Vista is Well Received

Bill Gates told reporters at an Ottawa news conference that Windows Vista is well received. She points out that PC sales went up as customers came in wanting to buy new hardware to get their hands on Windows Vista.

Microsoft corporate vice-president of development Ben Fathi said the next version of Windows would be released in the latter part of 2009.
The major improvements would revolve around things they should have included in Windows Vista Release this 2007 namely: file system WinFS, UEFI Bios replacement, advanced security features.
Windows Vista delay in Europe?

Microsoft has raised the possibility that it might delay the introduction of its new Vista Windows operating system in Europe. The reason for this would be the dependency on the European Commission’s antitrust requirements.
Microsoft said in a statement it made concrete proposals to the European Union’s executive Commission, responding to its concerns about new features in Vista. “Once we receive the Commission’s response, we will know whether the Commission is seeking additional product design changes that would result in delay in Europe,” it said (via news.com).

Nobody knows when Vista will ship, but MS said today that it sees no reason now why its new Windows Vista operating system would be delayed… Uhm… Ok. This was on Microsoft’s annual investors meeting, where Kevin Johnson, co-president of Microsoft’s platforms and services division, also spoke these historical words: “We will ship Windows Vista when it is available“. So now you know!
Microsoft has already postponed the release of its much-anticipated upgrade to Windows for consumers to improve the system’s quality. They are planning to ship Vista for corporate customers in November this year. The consumer release is planned for January next year but few are taking Microsoft at its word.
“Our estimates have already assumed a delay in the Vista launch to March or April,” Goldman Sachs analyst Rick Sherlund said in a research note Friday. Market researcher Gartner even said that the full launch of Vista could be pushed back until the second quarter of next year.
And we all know what Bill Gates said, estimating the chances of a January launch at only 80 percent…
