Your can get your Virtual Desktop on Windows Vista via the free Vista Virtual Manager Beta. Since this is not yet the final version, proceed cautiously.
The features of the Virtual Desktop Tool is as follows:
Full screen desktop/window manager/preview with full drag and drop managing

An infinite number of desktops
Watch the windows move in real time as you drag them around in the window manager

The Hack
The desktop shortcut keys are:
Windows Key + Z - Show the fullscreen “switcher”
Windows Key + W - Pop up the window menu for the active window
Windows Key + Numpad 1…9 - Switch to the corresponding desktop, if it exists
Windows Key + Arrow Down/Right - Switch to the next desktop
Windows Key + Arrow Up/Left - Switch to the previous desktop

This version is better than the previous beta versions. Many bugs are also fixed in this latest beta version.

I have used for several days and deleted the program.
It is a memory guzzler. It starts with very little memory, but it is going to occupy more than 400MB after you use one or two hours.
