24 Slot Bag sold by Haris Pilton in 3.3

For a long time in the Burning Crusade days, npc Haris Pilton in the World’s End Tavern was nothing more than an obvious parody of the famous socialite. She sold items that were nothing more than expensive money sinks that did nothing. Then during the later days of the Burning Crusade expansion, Blizzard made her a bit more useful by selling the “Gigantique” bag, which was a pretty expensive (for that level and those days) 22 slot bag. the aim of the bag was that it was something that wasn’t really a necessity but was a useful money sink for those who want it.

Haris Pilton

WoW.com reports that her Portable Hole, which is a 3000g 24 slot bag, is currently available for sale in the patch 3.3 PTR. According to the Warcraft twitter page, Haris Pilton is perusing her new winter collection of pouches and bags, confirming what WoW.com reported. basically the Portable Hole is the new “Gigantique” Bag, another nice money sink for those people with lots of money and in need of a slightly bigger bag.

Now if only Blizzard picked a better name for this bag considering the reputation of said famous socialite…

More details on new quest tracker feature

A new set of updates have been released into the patch 3.3 PTR recently and one thing caught my eye more than the other things listed. It seems like the new Quest Tracker feature which was supposed to come out in patch 3.2 will finally make it in patch 3.3. it didn’t make it before because there were some problems with it at the time and it just wasn’t ready for release. Better to have something come out late but working rather than early but broken right?
Basically this new Quest Tracker feature will change the current user interface to be …read more

Blizzard introduces the Pet Store

if you haven’t noticed, Blizzard has been in the mood for releasing quite a bit of non-combat pets into World of Warcraft (or at least releasing news about it like the Perky Pug coming out in patch 3.3). We’ve seen the release of the Onyxia Whelp pet when patch 3.2.2 came out and then Mr. Chilly from the Battle.net conversion. If you logged in today and saw two new pets you haven’t seen before and wondering where they came from, that’s from the new Pet Store Blizzard just introduced!

The Blizzard Pet Store is a new way for players to get …read more

MMO Champion brings us Perky Pug preview

We’ve been talking quite a bit about the new LFG system that will be in place when patch 3.3 comes out. Basically it’s a new tool that will allow players a few more features other than simply finding other people to run dungeons with. You’ll be able to do dungeons with other players from different servers in your battlegroup. You’ll also be able to do random dungeons for both normal and heroic difficulty and get rewarded for it. The more random the make up of your group is, the better your reward.

I can see more reason for players to do …read more

New LFG System and Stone Keeper’s Shards

New LFG System and Stone Keeper’s Shards

Personally I don’t really care for Stone Keeper’s Shards since they’re used to get PvP oriented stuff from the vendor in Wintergrasp and I don’t really like PvP much. I don’t even do Wintergrasp and the only reason why I go there is to do Vault of Archavon with my guild. The bosses there drop Emblems which I can use for PvE gear so I at least do that. Of course there’s the Black War Mammoth mount but it’s something I’m not actively pursuing and it’s definitely not worth it for me to do the Wintergrasp to help control it …read more

Some Day of the Dead issues resolved

As you might know, a new World of Warcraft holiday was introduced this year called Day of the Dead and it has been going on since yesterday November 1. It’s just a simple holiday so it’s scheduled to end today November 2. There really isn’t much to this holiday especially if all you’re after is the achievement. You can get that over with very simply by dancing with Catrina at any major city graveyard. By now it’s something that you’ve probably already done unless you haven’t logged on yet since this holiday came out yesterday.

If you want to get the …read more

Introducing Day of the Dead

Earlier this year, Blizzard spiced up an in game event that didn’t get much noticed before in Pirate’s Day. It was still a one day affair but at least it had a simple achievement everyone could get. Starting today November 1 and lasting until tomorrow November 2 is another but completely new in game event called Day of the Dead. Since it’s only lasting for two days, I hope you don’t miss it!

Day of the Dead is an event to honor the dead which made me think that this event was inspired by All Saints Day and All Souls Day …read more

Developers announce Chill of the Throne

Lead Encounter Designer Daelo announced something earlier involving the Icecrown Citadel coming out in patch 3.3 that is causing a lot of debate and whining especially within the tank community. The developers are implementing a spell in the Icecrown Citadel raid dungeon called Chill of the Throne which will affect every creature inside the raid. Chill of the Throne will allow these creatures to ignore 20% of it’s melee target’s dodge chance. So if you normally have 30% chance to dodge, you’ll only have 10% inside the Icecrown Citadel.
Before going into the issue itself, I just find it quite interesting …read more

More Details on New Dungeon System Revealed

We’ve seen some details on the upcoming new Dungeon System coming out in patch 3.3 from small announcements from them or from things we’ve seen from the PTR. Blizzard officially announced the new dungeon system earlier, which highlights the cross server LFG interface and a few more features we’ve heard of before and some that we haven’t yet.
So as you already know, we’ll be able to group with others players from other servers in your battlegroup to do dungeons using the the new dungeon system. Like Battlegrounds, you’ll be able to join solo or as a group making the a …read more

Race Change Service Now Available

Race Change Service Now Available

When the Faction Change service was announced a little way back, Blizzard announced that they were also going to make a race change service available soon after. Well that soon has finally arrived as Blizzard announced the availability of their Race Change service.

It actually didn’t take much thinking that a race change service would make sense especially after Blizzard allowed faction switching. Switching factions is more of a leap than switching races within the same faction. In a way race switching was possible even before but it involved switching factions then paying for another one later on when the service …read more
