As far as alliance goes I don’t see how any damage class won’t feel compelled to pay for the race change to worgen like this. 1% damage increase is the gift that keeps on giving. Yeah it won’t matter too much in the beginning but as people start to max out on gear it will just keep pulling away. The sprint is extremely nice, easily the most useful alliance clicky racial now. As a gnome, escape artist was nice in pvp but no use in pve whatsoever, this is very useful for both. As a warrior I never wear the pvp trinket for pve anyway – sole reason to put that crap on in pve is for fear, and fortunately iknowhow2warrior.

Goblin haste is obviously also useful to healers, but has no effect on instants. With worgen basically you’re either a role that can take full advantage of your racial or a role that takes no benefit. If they’re going to make haste work with dots it’s really not bad as caster dps, but melee won’t see as much benefit with, at least in my case – warrior, about half of my damage coming from autoattacks. Rocket jump is an excellent racial, better than worgen speed due to reduced cooldown. I wouldn’t dismiss such a short cooldown on bank access anywhere, this is quite a convenience clearly extending your backpack and this is available to new toons from level one. If you have some quest items for a quest you’re not planning to finish for a bit you can pop it in your bank just like that. I’m the guy that constantly mails all nonbound stuff to alts while leveling and I still see the bank thing as a major boon.

Most of this sounds pretty good but I must say as a Druid healer who still has a few nice Cloth items to boost my stats i’m not a fan of restricting needs to dominant armour type…and thus making gearing up for healers just that little bit trickier and down to chance (or relying on a PuG to trade the item to you). Just seems a little redundant to limit things like this and also will make gearing up off spec’s trickier too since you can’t need on a caster bit of kit if you are a melee (assuming it is spec related and doesn’t distinguish between the fact a warrior can’t use caster gear but a Pally can of course). Should be fun seeing all the Ulduar geared players stuck in a PuG of fresh 80’s though and watch all the complaints fly….think this could see the end of emblem runs since it will take too long if you need to worry abotu explaining tactics or wiping all the time….can’t see too many highly geared players wanting to risk hefty repair bills can you?

But shards are nice for the extra gem income.

You can trade stone keepers shards for Honor Points which then can be used to buy gems.

That’s the only reason I like them.

Both racials have their advanatages, but, Worgen come out on top. Hobgoblin can be easily offset with Argent Squire by any race or class. Rocket jump and rocket barrage can be offset by any engineer. who cares about the money deal racial considering how easy it is to get cash in WOW. Pfft. alch. +15. Big deal. the haste increase for attack and spell is a nice feature.

Worgen get a nice speed boost racial. Assuming they dont share the same cooldown, a worgen druid can have 21 seconds of speed boost at an average of 78%!!! that is AMAZING for wsg flag carrier or running like a coward. Druid worgens are gonna be amazing. faster skinning, faster movement, increased damage. Rogues, Driuds, Warriors, Shamman are gonna be sick.

Depending on the type of things you are looking for, both racials have nice features. But to be honest, racials really took a hit when Blizz decided to normalize both horde and ally. remember the days of Dwarf Priests???? I sure do. Now I have no clear advanatge over any other class.

Racials are no defining element on which to base your race decision. We are all the SAME now.
