Dual Spec Feature Available At Level 40 And Up

I remember one of the Blues (most probably Ghostcrawler) saying something like they noticed that people have a better reaction to having things come out tight at first and then loosened than the other way around. This was the reasoning why they initially announced that dual specs would be for level 80’s only. They also announced before that players would have to go to a lexicon of power in a city or use an item made by inscribers that could summon a lexicon so that they could make use of the feature. They said that the item made by inscribers would even need a party to summon the lexicon. Well all that is now down the drain, as announced by Blizzard poster Zarhym.
Dual specialization isn’t something everyone needs. It’s a perk we’re adding into the game, and it’s initially going to require an investment. If you can’t afford dual specializations for 10 different characters, you might not actually need all 10 of your characters to be able to swap between two specializations on a whim.
With a single 5-second, out of combat cast, players level 40 or higher will instantly be able to swap between two different talent specializations, glyph sets, and action bar set-ups from virtually anywhere in the world.
That kind of convenience and versatility shouldn’t be obtained with absolute triviality. source
Level 40 is probably more than what we expected for a lowering of the level requirement especially knowing Blizzard so this is a very nice thing. You probably won’t really need to use that feature at 40 anyway but it’s nice to know that the option is available. I’m just thinking that 1000g is something you won’t have at that level and even if you have your higher characters loan you the gold, it’s probably only until much later that it will be much more useful. For the level 80’s out there, what we care about from this announcement is that once we pay the 1000g, we can flip between specs anywhere with just a push of a button!
I wonder if they’ll loosen they’re stance on the 1000g cost and lower it before release? *crosses fingers*
