Epics Drop From All Wrath Heroic Dungeons… Or Not?

I’m not level 80 yet so I don’t know what the Heroic dungeons in this expansion are like. It just seems to me like they’re easier than the TBC ones since a fresh 70 could jump in and do them. At least that’s what it looks like to me from what I’ve seen. Could this be the reason why, from looking at the loot tables, most of the loot I’ve seen are blues and not epics?
I remember reading something a few months ago about all Heroic Dungeons no longer dropping blue quality items but just epics. In fact I have the exact text in an older post but the link from Curse.com is dead. Since it’s dead, I’m not sure who said this but it just might be from an interview with the devs. The text goes as follows:
Heroic Dungeons are getting some love in the expansion as well, and will be on their own tier of loot progression — meaning no more blues from Heroics — it’ll be similar to what’s seen in Magisters’ Terrace, added with the Fury of the Sunwell patch
We all know that loot drops from the heroic Magisters’ Terrace bosses dropped only epics. It seems like the new expansion took a step back since all final bosses in the TBC heroics dropped epics while not all of the last bosses of the Wrath ones do (looking at the loot tables). What gives?
Yes the primary (most common) drops from heroics are blues. However, I’ve never run a heroic without at least one (and usually several) epics dropping. In addition, a frozen orb drops from every final boss, and instead of needing 10 or so primal nethers to craft that epic, it usually only requires 1 or 2 frozen orbs, making crafted epics easier in LK as well. I’ve also run out of things to buy with heroic badges except for offset T7 pieces. So, heroics are generally easier in LK and epics are definitely more available in LK, even if they don’t drop off of EVERY boss.
Yeah I have seen an epic on the last boss of every heroic I have run with an occasional epic elsewhere. I am not sure but I thought you had to be 80 to enter a Northrend heroic? Anyways, yes they are much easier from my experience so far.
Yes I just said at the beginning of the post that I’m not 80 yet. It just seems to me like people who’ve freshly hit 80 can do heroics and succeed. It’s not like in TBC where you’d have to reach a certain level of gear preparedness to even attempt it. But that’s might be a good thing a since more and more people will be able to do them and do them well. I used to have a certain fear for heroics back in TBC since they were so hard that I actually enjoyed doing karazhan more.
Ahh sorry, I misread that first paragraph. Yeah I totally understand about the TBC heroics. You almost had to gear up to do those but in Northrend you run the heorics to gear up for something else it seems.
