Glimpse of Trial of the Champion Loot

The testing has finally started for the Trial of the Champion (Crusader’s Coliseum 5 man dungeon) in the Patch 3.2 PTR. So far the word is that the encounters are quite buggy but we’ve already gotten a glimpse on the kind of loot that drops from the bosses on both normal and heroic difficulty.

The first bit of good news is that every single piece of loot that drops from the bosses in this 5 man dungeon is an epic quality item much like the gear that dropped from Magisters’ Terrace in The Burning Crusade expansion. This will give those alts or even those mains who still need some gear upgrades for certain slots. To think that this isn’t even the final 5 man dungeon that’s coming out for the Wrath of the Lich King expansion. Expect the same thing for the Icecrown Citadel 5 man, only with even better gear.

The other piece of good news is that all the gear that drops from this dungeon are Naxx quality with the regular difficulty bosses dropping Item Level 200 gear (similar to Naxx 10) and the heroic difficulty bosses dropping Item Level 213 gear (similar to Naxx 25). This is obviously a godsend again for those players who need to fill up some holes in their gear and also especially for those people who cannot or barely do any raids.
