Holding off for Cataclysm

Ever since I started enjoying healing back in The Burning Crusade expansion, I’ve taken quite a bit of interest in all of the healing classes. I started with a Holy Paladin back then and now have a Resto Druid as a main. Right now I’m leveling the paladin with the intent to stay Holy and be another healer but it seems like I won’t stop there. As I think about my characters and the plans I have for them, it hit me that in an ideal situation I’d like to have a Restoration Shaman and a Holy Priest as well.

The reality of it is that I might not be able to get that Holy Priest but I do intend to get that Resto shaman up and running and in fact I was working on getting the character up until something came up. I had a nice level 22 female troll shaman going when Blizzcon came and the announcement of the Cataclysm expansion got everyone excited. I remember reading the announcement that day and seeing that Shaman was one of the classes for the new Goblin race and I got hooked. I made plans to shelve my current shaman, who is just now taking up space in my character screen to reserve the name I want for my future Goblin shaman. Boy have I been itching to level up that shaman the past few weeks but I know that holding off will eventually pay off.
Theoretically I can go on and then pay for a race change to Goblin when possible but I won’t because I’m cheap and I also want to see the starting Goblin zones and the changed Azeroth at the apportionment level and not as high level toon breezing through content. I get to play a new class (relatively new to me anyway since my current shaman is still in the 20’s), a new race and see the new Azeroth all in one toon. It’s the perfect scenario for the leveling up experience.
Are there more of you people out there like me who stopped playing or held off creating a character just to play a new Goblin or a Worgen in the expansion? If so then share your story behind the decision here!

I’m sure I’ll eventually level a worgen… and I really see my main as a male worgen DK. Unfortunately, leveling another DK doesn’t appeal to me at all (leveled a DK to 80 on PTR, then my main, and am leveling one on another server to play with a RL friend).
I’ll probably pay for the change to my main, but then level a class I haven’t played as a ‘baby’ worgen.
I started leveling a Nelf druid (only to 13) and decided that leveling a Worgen Druid would be a blast, especially through the new starting zone and new old Azeroth. The only problem I have is deciding wether to level my 4 other characters up to the new level cap and experience the new eng game first or level my new Worgen druid. So many options and not enough time!
Why dont u level the shaman youve got then to a racial change to goblin?
First of all I’m cheap so I don’t want to pay for a race switch, especially for an alt. If it was my main I’d think about it. Next I figure I already have so many characters so I might as well make the effort count. I want to have a goblin and see what it’s like to level through their starting areas and also go through the changed Azeroth. I also want to have a resto shaman. Leveling a goblin shaman from scratch when the xpac hits will let me have both in one go.
I think a goblin shammy would be awesome too. I like you am a healer rootnleave is my main resto drood on Khaz’goroth and I have a holy priest on dreadmaul and a holy pally on Khaz. Ive always wanted a resto shammy and I think Ill use the next patch to level one. the long jouney to 85 is scaring me a little though. I wanted to ask what do you think the best class is for worgen? I confess I am thinking of paying to race change my main Worgen.
PS RETSTO DROODS FTW!
