Mining Change In 3.08 Will Make It More Convenient

Ever since I started playing WoW and was first introduced to the world of mining on a bunch of now deleted alts, I’ve always felt like the mining process was just a pain in the ass compared to other gathering professions. Aside from the fact that it’s a lot harder to find mineral veins than herbs to pick and animals to skin, the process of having to keep tapping at the vein to exhaust it makes mining even harder to do. When you pick a herb, you get everything you can get from it in one blow, very much like looting corpses.
Well finally this mining process is going to change in the next patch. It’s going to be just like herbing where you get everything in one blow. Blizzard poster Wryxian from WoW-Europe posted a list of new changes that will be included in the next patch and this is one of them. Wryxian writes the following in his entry for mining:
Mining veins and deposits no longer require multiple hits to receive all the ore. Players will receive around the same amount of ore, stone, and gems they would have received from multiple hits.
This is going to make mining a lot easier to do especially for those people who like to mine using their epic flyers. Players usually herbs and fly away, so now this will make mining and flying away a lot easier. Perhaps the minor downside of this change is that the practice of being able to get one tap from the vein out just to skill up will no longer be possible. The benefits greatly outweigh the downsides here though!
Have fun miners!

Oh thank goodness. The first thing I thought was so much for those ahole mine stealers that drop in as you are tapping the mine and then try to get the next swing at it.
