PTR Talks About Ulduar Start

As we experience the first few days of the new year, discussions about new content that the WoW community will see in the near future have inevitably arose. While we patiently wait for the patch that will bring us the dual spec feature, perhaps the one topic that has gained some steam lately especially among the raiders is Ulduar.
Ulduar is a new raid dungeon that still has to be patched in and is of a higher progression than any of the raid dungeons available for Wrath of the Lich King today. We already have access to the two 5 man dungeons that are part of this location, Halls of Stone and Halls of Lightning. That means we should expect the raid dungeon to have the same feel aesthetically.
WoW-EU CM Vaneras was the first to confirm that Ulduar will indeed be in the PTR in the future. For anyone who feels like the raids so far have been a walk in the park, it’s because they were meant to be that way as entry level raids. For such people, Ulduar should give them a little more challenge. As Blizzard poster Daelo mentioned, “If Naxxramas was the introduction to raiding 101 class for players who have never raided before, think of Ulduar as the second year class”.
According to Vaneras, access to Ulduar in the PTR will be limited. They will only enable the zone and the encounters if there’s something to test. Otherwise they will disable it. This is different from the WoTLK beta where people could have access to Naxx permanently.
Now that the Ulduar talks have started, this should give at least some of the players something to look forward – a new challenge coming in the near future.
