We’ve seen Q&A’s for both the Crusader’s Coliseum and the Isle of Conquest battleground but here’s a joint one that answer some new questions. Instead of Ghostcrawler, the following people will be answering the questions this time: Game Director Tom Chilton, Lead Encounter Designer Scott Mercer, and Lead World Designer Alex Afrasiabi.
Crusader’s Coliseum
To be clear, the 5 man encounter is called Trial of the Champion. The raid encounter (both 10 and 25 man) is called Trial of the Crusader while the heroic mode of this encounter is called Trial of the Grand Crusader.
Trial of the Champion should roughly on par …read more
Crusader’s Coliseum Gear Item Levels

Just yesterday I wrote about the Argent Tournament and touched on how the gear you can get from them can be great upgrades for your characters. This is especially true for the epic weapons that is equivalent to something you could get from heroics or Naxx 10 and you don’t even need to raid or be in a group. The Crusader’s Coliseum offers us more of the same thing in that we’ll see pieces of gear that have a higher item level than usual. CM Zarhym lists them in his forum post:
Trial of the Champion (5-player) normal mode: Item level …read more
Rant On Argent Tournament Weapons

Every now and then I come up with a post ranting about something. This is one of them. Ever since I realized that jousting in the Argent Tournament was easy when you know how, the notion of gaining access to their rewards that you get from Champion’s Seals especially for my alts became something to look forward to. I already benefited from getting two of the epic weapons from them on two of my characters and am also looking forward to it on my warlock since he’s working his up up the tourney.
I already marked my holy paladin as the …read more

A while back, Blizzard released some info about the updates to the Argent Tournament coming in patch 3.2. We’re going to get a whole new bunch of dailies and more rewards that players can buy with Champion’s Seals. Now I’m not sure if this is already in the PTR but some more info about the updated Argent Tournament has been released.
CM Zarhym came up with a post in the forums earlier to mention a few things. He said that assuming you’re eligible for all the new daily quests in the Argent Tournament, the maximum number of Champion’s Seals a player …read more

The Coliseum is probably the highlight of the upcoming patch 3.2 but that’s not the only new thing coming associated with the Argent Tournament. We already knew that the devs were going to add a few more things that will give players more reason to visit the tournament grounds in the upcoming major patch but it’s only now that we really know why. Blizzard released details about what they are adding to the Argent Tournament and it does look kinda fun.
First of all there will be two new quest hubs involving a new camp of the Cult of the Damned …read more
Standing while mounted…

It was just this past week where I finally gave jousting in the Argent Tournament another chance and through my research I finally practiced a worthy technique and started getting pretty good at it. I finally worked my way up to the champion rank, defeated the black knight and started doing the daily group quest Threat From Above. As a result of this, I started doing the Battle Before The Citadel quest again too since a lot of groups tend to do that right after since it’s a LOT easier to do as a group.
I don’t know why but one …read more
I’m gonna miss those goblins…

Ever since the Argent Tournament came out in patch 3.1, I’ve always been a loyal client of those two goblins in the tournament grounds who give the daily quests to get the wood and stone blocks they need to build the Coliseum. Even if I’m a druid and it feels wrong cutting down the trees in Crystalsong Forest for money, I still try to do it every day especially since I’m finally close to getting that epic flyer I’ve always wanted.
The sad thing is that it’s already been confirmed that those goblins won’t be around anymore by the time patch …read more
Is the Coliseum dungeon idea disappointing?

We’ve seen the sneak peak information that Blizzard released about the next major content patch, patch 3.2. Patch 3.2 or “Call of the Crusade” as it is officially known will have several things but the one thing that probably catches the eye of everyone is the Coliseum in the Argent Tournament Grounds. Currently the Coliseum is under construction but it will be built by the time patch 3.2 is released and it will be the main PvE focus of the patch.
We know that the Coliseum will have a 5 man dungeon and a 10/25 man raid dungeon and that both …read more

Since the long awaited patch 3.1 has been released and allowed to gain some steam, Blizzard has decided to keep our interests up by teasing us with some details about the next major patch. If you look into the WoW Community Site, some cool features were listed to highlight patch 3.2 which has the title Call of the Crusade.
Considering that we’ll be able to meet the Lich King inside the Icecrown Citadel by patch 3.3, it makes sense that patch 3.2 would be about events and preparations leading to what will happen in patch 3.3. In fact, that’s exactly …read more

The patch we’ve all been waiting for is finally here because for a minor patch it’s pretty packed with stuff. Patch 3.1.2 is pretty loaded with changes because patch 3.1 came out with a few things still in the works. instead of delaying the release of patch 3.1, Blizzard decided to just make these changes follow in a future patch. That future patch is this one!
The Equipment Manager feature is probably the highlight of this patch, which will finally help us manage our gear as we switch specs using the dual spec feature. Finally we’ll be able to make that …read more
