Blizzard featured the many class Q&A’s in the past which highlighted some of the thoughts and plans that the development team had for the many classes at the time and also for the future. But just when it looked like it was doing good time, Blizzard released patch 3.2 and the rogue and priest Q&A’s just barely made it in time. If you thought the rumor about Goblins and Worgen as new playable races huge news, that’s nothing compared to the stuff that’s written in MMO Champion right now. It’s a veritable gold mine of leaked information that has been data mined about the supposed next expansion, Cataclysm. We’re down to our last two class Q&A’s and it’s time for the rogue class to have the spotlight. As you know these class q&a’s are really more for knowing what the development team has in mind for the classes going forward especially in terms of design philosophy. Rogues used to be the the class with the best dps but now Blizzard has been pushing them into being more normal and having some utility instead.

Zavex from the Cenarion Circle realm says he’s been playing Warcraft 3 a lot lately and thinks that the Necromancer is a core class missing from Warcraft lore and would be nice to include th class in the game. As I would have expected, Blizzard CM Nethaera shot the idea down for now.
