Built-in “Quest Helper” Removed From 3.2

After reading some of the updates to the patch 3.2 PTR notes, I found some quite disappointing news that was dated a few days ago. Again I’m late with a piece of PTR news but at least this time it’s not that bad. A while back we received news that there’s a new feature that Patch 3.2 is adding to the user interface that will act sort of like a Quest Helper. It was supposed to help players with quests by showing in the map the location of whatever the quest needs you to do, whether it’s an npc you …read more

Patch 3.1.2 Is Live!

The patch we’ve all been waiting for is finally here because for a minor patch it’s pretty packed with stuff. Patch 3.1.2 is pretty loaded with changes because patch 3.1 came out with a few things still in the works. instead of delaying the release of patch 3.1, Blizzard decided to just make these changes follow in a future patch. That future patch is this one!
The Equipment Manager feature is probably the highlight of this patch, which will finally help us manage our gear as we switch specs using the dual spec feature. Finally we’ll be able to make that …read more

The Equipment Manager feature is the highlight of the upcoming minor patch but patch 3.1.2 seems to have a bit more interesting changes to look forward to. I talked about the Equipment Manager feature and the new Argent Tournament mount designs that are coming in a previous post but there are also some class changes in the works They aren’t really big changes some of them are really worth noting.
The first thing that caught my attention was the one that affected me the most. Druids are getting a buff to the spirit based spell power bonus they get from Improved …read more

Next minor patch will bring some cool stuff

The more time passes by the more I see how “big” patch 3.1 was really supposed to be. We’re seeing more and more things that should have been released on that day it came out but including it would have meant postponing the release of the patch. Since we’ve been clamoring for Ulduar for so long, the patch had to be released with quite a bit of stuff that weren’t included and are only now slowly coming out.
According to CM Nethaera, the next minor patch will include two cool things – the much awaited Equipment Manager feature that was supposed …read more

Equipment Manager not ready for Patch 3.1

Aside from Ulduar, the dual spec feature will probably be one of the most anticipated aspect of Patch 3.1 when it comes out. When we’re all going around switching around our specs back and forth when the patch comes out, we still won’t have the luxury of using the Equipment Manager which is a built in version of Outfitter that switches our gear sets along with the spec. It was schedule to come out in patch 3.1 but seems to have gone the way of Noblegarden and will get delayed.
Certain issues were encountered with the upcoming Equipment Manager that could …read more
