PvP Server Faction Restrictions Removed

One of the features of PvP servers was that it had a faction restriction so that if you already had an Alliance character on that server, you could only make Alliance characters and the same for the Horde. I think the idea behind this was to prevent players from spying on the other faction in terms of PvP activity.
Well this faction restriction for PvP servers has been removed, as announced by CM Eyonix. As you might recall, Blizzard already announced that they are working on a service that will allow players to switch their characters to the opposite faction for …read more

Clarification on Raid Lock Out Extension

A while back the PTR gave us a hint of a new feature that would allow players to extend the lock out periods of their dungeon and raid runs. It’s definitely a useful feature since players won’t need to worry about the dungeon lockout timers resetting even if you don’t really want to. CM Eyonix came out in the forums today to officially announce this new feature to the community as well as give more details about this feature.
According to Eyonix, players will be able to extend their lock out period for an additional amount of time equal to …read more

Free Respecs coming in Patch 3.1.1

One week after patch 3.1 was released and Blizzard is still trying to fix a bunch of bugs. That is the purpose of Patch 3.1.1, the minor patch CM Eyonix was talking about in his post earlier. The long list list of fixes that CM Bornakk has come up with, the extended duration of today’s scheduled maintenance and Eyonix’s timely posting about patch 3.1.1 all hint towards today being patch day once again. At least it’s just a minor patch. Eyonix’s post gives some good news for those people who want to tweak their talents a bit.

Book of Glyph Mastery drop rate increased

One of the things I was looking forward to with the release of patch 3.1 was the cool new glyphs that came with the patch like Glyph of Life Tap and Glyph of Nourish. As a resto druid who is also a scribe, I was looking forward to switching out my Glyph of Regrowth for the Nourish one. Of course I was hoping to learn it myself but I would have been just as happy to find it in the Auction House and buy it. To make a long story short, I’ve done neither of them and that makes me …read more

Eyonix posts Poll on Players’ Favorite BG

I just noticed that CM Eyonix posted a poll a few days ago asking players what their favorite PvP battleground is. Exactly what Blizzard will do with this feedback is still unclear. Maybe this feedback will help them in designing future battlegrounds for future content. Or maybe they’ll use this info to see if they can improve on any of the current ones. or maybe they’re just curious for the heck of it!
In my case, I still haven’t tried Strand of the Ancients so I can’t comment on that. Making my judgment based on the other BG’s, I’d have to …read more
