With Hallow’s End being celebration across Azeroth, you’re probably doing one of two things with your play time: In a group fighting the Headless Horseman or going around doing the things you need for the Achievement like Trick or Treating, eating candy and visiting the various candy buckets stationed throughout the inns in the various zones. If you’ve already done this last year, most likely you have some other alt that still needs these achievements.
Visiting the various candy buckets throughout the world can be a lot of hard work, especially if you aren’t a mage who can port around. What …read more

So far we’re doing pretty good on the story telling in the game. I mean we have the story of the original game then the developments to that story in The Burning Crusade expansion and then the Wrath of the Lich King story we’re currently seeing unfold. Going back to Azeroth in the upcoming Cataclysm expansion creates quite a problem with this story telling, most especially for someone who will be leveling a new character when the expansion hits.

I still think that it’s strange that they didn’t make this part of the scheduled Children’s Week this year but maybe it’s because it wasn’t ready yet at the time. It did seem strange that this year’s regular Children’s Week didn’t have anything to do with Northrend at all except for the eating of cake that you can buy in Dalaran.
Thanks to MMO Champion, we can see what this Children’s Week in Northrend will be like. What I can say is that it’s nothing really great. It’s …read more

The time has come again for us to spend some quality time with Azeroth’s children, especially those who have been orphaned because of the wars and struggles. Children’s Week started today May 1 and will end on May 7. If it snuck up on you then you probably didn’t look at your WoW calendar. We’ve been doing this year after year for quite some time now but this year’s Children’s Week is a little bit special.
The most obvious is that it’s the first one since the Wrath of the Lich King expansion and the Achievements feature came out. This means …read more
Patch 3.1 Will Bring Changes To Flasks

CM Bornakk made a sort of public service announcement in one of his posts that it’s probably best for everyone to stop stockpiling flasks at least until patch 3.1 comes out. This is because patch 3.1 will have several changes concerning flasks, the most striking of which is the lowering of their duration.
In patch 3.1, flask effects will be lowered from 2 hours to 1 hours. To balance this, flask recipes will be changed to make 2 instead of 1 adding up to essentially the same thing. This is actually a great change if you think about it since …read more
