My Unexciting and Strange Looking Bear Art

So it’s been about a week since patch 3.2 came out. For Druids, this means that they new art for their Bear and Cat forms already came out. Being a Resto druid who goes Moonkin for questing, I never really was that excited about the new form art. I mean it was something I could see but not something I would see often enough. The only time I really get into my feral forms is if I’m bored and I wanna dance in a new form.
Anyway, I finally decided to check out which form art I got for both Cat …read more
Patch 3.2 Call of the Crusade Is Live

The release of the last two class Q&A’s at pretty much the same time should have been a hint that it was coming but somehow Patch 3.2 Call of the Crusade came unexpectedly and surprised a lot of us. I was expecting it to take at least a few more weeks but it’s here!
It’s quite messy right now as usual. It always is on patch day. Everyone checking out new stuff, dealing with lag especially in Dalaran. In fact I just got booted and got stuck on the loading screen. I’m now just waiting for everything to stabilize just like …read more
Coliseum and Isle of Conquest Q&A Released
August 1, 2009 by Angelo Fernandez
We’ve seen Q&A’s for both the Crusader’s Coliseum and the Isle of Conquest battleground but here’s a joint one that answer some new questions. Instead of Ghostcrawler, the following people will be answering the questions this time: Game Director Tom Chilton, Lead Encounter Designer Scott Mercer, and Lead World Designer Alex Afrasiabi.
Crusader’s Coliseum
To be clear, the 5 man encounter is called Trial of the Champion. The raid encounter (both 10 and 25 man) is called Trial of the Crusader while the heroic mode of this encounter is called Trial of the Grand Crusader.
Trial of the Champion should roughly on par …read more
Crusader’s Coliseum Gear Item Levels

Just yesterday I wrote about the Argent Tournament and touched on how the gear you can get from them can be great upgrades for your characters. This is especially true for the epic weapons that is equivalent to something you could get from heroics or Naxx 10 and you don’t even need to raid or be in a group. The Crusader’s Coliseum offers us more of the same thing in that we’ll see pieces of gear that have a higher item level than usual. CM Zarhym lists them in his forum post:
Trial of the Champion (5-player) normal mode: Item level …read more
More info on 3.2 Argent Tourney Rewards

A while back, Blizzard released some info about the updates to the Argent Tournament coming in patch 3.2. We’re going to get a whole new bunch of dailies and more rewards that players can buy with Champion’s Seals. Now I’m not sure if this is already in the PTR but some more info about the updated Argent Tournament has been released.
CM Zarhym came up with a post in the forums earlier to mention a few things. He said that assuming you’re eligible for all the new daily quests in the Argent Tournament, the maximum number of Champion’s Seals a player …read more
Hunter Q&A Released

Blizzard is almost done with the Class Q&A feature which started with the Shaman class and now it’s time for Hunters to take the spotlight. As you may know, the Q&A feature is there to find out what the development team is thinking about the classes for patch 3.2 and beyond. They go through things like design philosophy and changes they want to make or are thinking of making.
Hunters are unique in that they are the only ranged damage dealers that rely on the mostly physical damage of their ranged weapon rather than spells. But what also makes them unique …read more
Built-in “Quest Helper” Removed From 3.2

After reading some of the updates to the patch 3.2 PTR notes, I found some quite disappointing news that was dated a few days ago. Again I’m late with a piece of PTR news but at least this time it’s not that bad. A while back we received news that there’s a new feature that Patch 3.2 is adding to the user interface that will act sort of like a Quest Helper. It was supposed to help players with quests by showing in the map the location of whatever the quest needs you to do, whether it’s an npc you …read more
Warrior Q&A Released

I think that with the PTR being up for quite a while now and with the class Q&A’s coming out faster, it might be a sign that Patch 3.2 is coming soon… at least sooner than I originally thought. It’s the Warrior class’ turn to go under the microscope and see what Ghostcrawler and the development team has to say about the class moving forward.
The devs think that one of the things that make the Warrior class interesting is the Rage mechanic, specifically the way rage can convert into damage which converts to rage and so on. It’s a design …read more
Tier 9 Art Preview from World of Raids
July 13, 2009 by Angelo Fernandez

One of the anticipated features of the upcoming patch 3.2 is the Crusader’s Coliseum. It’s not only anticipated for the new raid content that will come with it but also because the new tiered gear that will come out of this raid dungeon will have different set designs for both factions. having a faction specific design for your class tier 9 set is a nice idea since it gives players a certain sense of connection and pride of your faction rather than just your class.
Unfortunately this idea isn’t what you think. It’s not 20 sets of gear giving a unique …read more
Glimpse of Trial of the Champion Loot

The testing has finally started for the Trial of the Champion (Crusader’s Coliseum 5 man dungeon) in the Patch 3.2 PTR. So far the word is that the encounters are quite buggy but we’ve already gotten a glimpse on the kind of loot that drops from the bosses on both normal and heroic difficulty.
The first bit of good news is that every single piece of loot that drops from the bosses in this 5 man dungeon is an epic quality item much like the gear that dropped from Magisters’ Terrace in The Burning Crusade expansion. This will give those alts …read more
