A few days ago, Warcry.com was able to talk to World of Warcraft’s Production Director J. Allen Brack and Blizzard Art mastermind “Samwise” Didier. Just like their recent interview with Rob Pardo, the Executive VP of Game Design, the theme of the interview was about the 5 years of WoW and beyond. This time the focus was on the artistic side of the game. You can view the whole interview here.
One of the things that was interesting to hear in this interview is the mention of an interest in making new character models in the game sometime in the future. …read more
Mr. T’s 2nd Mohawk Grenade Ad Disappointing

This is something I quite wasn’t expecting. Mr. T has yet another WoW advertisement and of course it’s about the Night Elf Mohawk. This disappointing thing about this new ad is the fact that it’s new but there’s nothing new added to the game. Yes the Night Elf Mohawks are still around giving out Mohawk Grenades but I guess it seems like the novelty of it all has just gone down the drain.
Considering that everyone is busy doing the Pilgrim’s Bounty stuff this week, I doubt if a lot of people are taking the time to take notice anymore. If …read more

How times flies so fast! I can’t believe that the game is 5 years old but it is. A few days ago, I found myself thinking that it felt like it was a wee bit early for patch 3.3 to be coming out soon. With all the news about Icecrown coming out, it has to be just around the corner. It only hit me recently that the year is almost coming to an end and that it is indeed time for these things to be coming out soon. Tempus fugit, as they say.
Last year we got an Achievement for logging …read more
Mr. T and the Mohawk Grenade

The World of Warcraft Community was greeted by a pretty interesting and fun surprise earlier. Mr. T is back with another one of his WoW advertisements featuring the Night Elf Mohawk, something he wanted to play in WoW in his old advertisement but couldn’t because there’s no such thing. His new advertisement is awesome because of the cooperation it has with the actual game. Not only did he manage to get the Night Elf Mohawk in the game (at least temporarily) but he also managed to get his new invention, the Mohawk Grenade, in the game as well.
If you’ve been …read more
Rob Pardo: Arenas were a mistake

Ah the world of PvP. For a lot of people there just isn’t anything better that that feeling you get after smashing some face and kicking some butt at the expense of the opposite faction. This is where the tension between Alliance and Horde is most seen in the game. But this is most seen in world PvP and in Battlegrounds. The Arena Tournament is a different brand of PvP and it’s really changed the game complete since it arrived. It’s turned PvP into something more competitive and isn’t just about the war between factions. Apparently it was also a …read more
New Battle.net Offers Cool Features

Before World of Warcraft, the online experience for any Blizzard game was Battle.net. To be honest I never used to take part in Battle.net much before. I preferred to play offline or through a local area network (LAN) when I would play games like Diablo 2, Starcraft or Warcraft 3. I do remember logging in once to play Diablo 2 but it wasn’t too fun with a slow connection.
Several years into the future and Blizzard has decided to revamp it and create a new Battle.net with better features that will affect all the Blizzard games including World of Warcraft. Basically …read more

I think it was about a little more than a month ago that I was invited by my Father to play the Facebook application Farm Town and since even my mom has gotten into the act, It looked like at least a decent Facebook game to play while you’re bored so I joined up.
For those who don’t know, Farm Town is an application in Facebook that allows players to play the role of a farmers building up a farm by planting and harvesting crops and slowly expanding and beautifying your property. You can interact with other players and visit other …read more
Patch 3.1.3 is live!

All our eyes are set for patch 3.2, the next major content patch, ever since Blizzard unveiled the key features that it will showcase such as the new battleground and the upcoming Crusader’s Coliseum dungeon in the Argent Tournament grounds. But that doesn’t mean we can’t make at least a little of a buzz about the new minor patch that just came out.
Admittedly though, I’m finding it quite hard to get excited about the release of patch 3.1.3 especially since the last minor patch that came out was pretty good with the release of the Equipment Manager feature and the …read more
Dance Battle System April Fool’s Joke

Yesterday I was quite disappointed with the “Pimp My Mount” April Fool’s joke that Blizzard released. I just thought they could have done a bit better. Fortunately and to my surprise, that was actually just the WoW EU joke and the WoW US one was different. I checked the WoW US site and started laughing my ass off for several minutes when I saw the Dance Battle System joke. It really made up for the disappointment I had yesterday.
The idea of having a sort of dance duel is a pretty clever take on the feature that we’re still waiting for …read more
