The Battle For Undercity

Before I start, I just wanna say that this post contains information about the Wrath of the Lich King story that you might not want to hear about at this point. If that’s the case then DON’T READ BEYOND THIS POINT!

I was just reading around a few sources earlier and I discovered a very interesting event that will take place in the Wrath of the Lich King expansion called The Battle For Undercity. Based on what I’ve seen, this event would probably be using the new phasing technology since it’s going to leave Undercity in some wreckage and important NPC’s will be involved.

Basically, the whole event involves Varimathras taking over Undercity, with Thrall and Lady Sylvanas leading troops to kill him and eventually taking back the place. The story also involves a member of the Royal Apothecary Society assassinating Bolvar Fordragon, sparking the events that lead to the Alliance part of this story. King Varian Wryn leads troops into Undercity together with Jaina Proudmoore to deal with the assasin but when the Alliance forces engage with a confontation with Thrall and the Horde, Jaina freezes them in their tracks and teleports them back to Stormwind.

Well that’s what I took from reading the text from the encounter. Interesting isn’t it? What makes this so cool is the fact that big personalities are involved for both the Alliance and Horde, maing it a truly epic battle that I’m sure everyone would like to see.
